ParticipantBodybuilding babes sexier than their less muscular counterparts – survey
BODYBUILDING babes are hotter than their less muscular counterparts according to a new survey.
The shock poll turns received wisdom that women need to be soft to be attractive on its head.
Almost 57 percent of voters in the survey for wownews.co.uk agreed that female bodybuilders were sexy – even adding ‘the bigger the better’.
A further 20 percent – one in five – said they liked the look of female bodybuilders ‘provided they didn’t go too far.’
Just under a quarter responded to the pumped-up look in the negative saying ‘no, they look like guys.’
The survey was carried out for wownews.co.uk over a two week period following the news that UK topless model Jodie Marsh had taken part in a bodybuilding competiton.
She said of her achievement: “I feel proud when I look in the mirror. I still can’t believe it’s my body. Like, when I look at my abs, I’m just like, f****** hell, I love it so much! I’m the prettiest I’ve ever looked. “It has totally changed my life, doing this. My self-esteem is higher, my confidence is higher, I feel more secure, feel powerful – I almost feel invincible.”

I had to Google Jodie Marsh and I came upon this article (I haven’t read it yet) which features a video interview. I found the interview interesting to watch and it shows some stills of some very impressive photos of Jodie. She really looks fantastic in the interview.

ParticipantHi phenoms – Ms. Marsh, along with other ex-page three girls, has a somewhat divisive effect on public opinion here in the UK. Having said that, she does look fantastic, and I’m proud that the (presumably) British people that completed the survey were so positive towards FBBers. B)

I only know of her what I saw from watching the interview. She is basically glowing with vigor and positivity. Likely rather contagious.
From googling her, I can say that I’ve seen before and after photos and I far prefer the after not simply from the muscle, but her new lean and healthy look.
What makes her and the other “ex page 3 girls” so polarizing?

Well, the traditional presentation of page 3 is a caption along the lines of “(insert topless model’s name here) is very concerned by/interested in (insert main news story of the day)” accompanying a photo of a topless model. Feminists think it patronising, chauvinistic and regressive (not without some justification), but the main issue is that several of the Sun newspapers’ favourite page 3 models down the years haven’t been famed for their intellectual prowess, shall we say. In addition, the popular image of the fan of page 3 girls is the British lorry driver (truck driver) with a beer gut, candy wrappers and potato chip packs strewn around his cab, leering over the photo whilst eating a “fry-up” in a “greasy spoon” (cheap roadside cafe/truck-stop that sells artery-hardening fried food).
People like myself, who prefer the “broadsheet” press which tend to analyse news rather than showbiz gossip tend to regard the readers of such papers as being a bit dumb and predicable, not interested in the important and interesting news. To give an example, you may well have heard of the controversy surrounding News Corp and the UK subsidiary News International – the UK tabloid they were forced to close (the News of the World) was the Sundays-only equivalent of the Sun.

ParticipantI spotted this a couple a months ago and was going to start a thread about it but never going around to it. I notice a quote from Jodie saying that she had been struggling to get dates before she started working out, but now she’s getting asked out all the time. So much for conventional wisdom.

ParticipantShe’s not averse to hyping her latest exploits, so I’d take that claim with a pinch of salt.
