Can someone please tell me the name of the exercise in the picture? Since I cannot read Michi’s article, at least if I know what the exercise is called I can research more about it. I have knee troubles and this looks to be a good exercise to build up some strength towards performing more demanding exercises.

    Thanks.

At first glance, it looks like a variation of a sissy squat – there’s several ways to do ’em, both using a support or free style.

Then, I ck w/ Google and the page is in Portuguese

    agachamento sissy = sissy squat

    So, its a sissy squat.

FYI – rather then using the cable w/ the rope attachment. I have pair of metal hand grips (got ’em at the hardware store) screwnailed into a door frame, and using them is how I perform the movement.

One other you could ck out, would be wall squats. Its similar to leg press but w/o the leg press machine.
