A pretty girl flexed with pride today after being crowned Britain’s strongest teenager after honing her strength – working at her dad’s removals firm.
Bronwyn Taylor, 17, smashed the UK record for her age and weight when she deadlifted an incredible 25 stone (160kg) – the equivalent of two fully-grown men.
But it was nothing out of the ordinary for the muscular teen, as she spends her days shifting sofas and fridge freezers as part of dad Andrew’s house-moving team.

Bronwyn, of Inverness, said: “I’ve been helping dad out for a couple of years. If I had a normal job it would muck up my training regime. I would just be too tired.
“What I can lift really depends on not so much the weight as the size and shape of something. The weight is not an issue.”
Her proud father praised her as his best-ever worker, and said that she can lift heavier weights than he can.
He added that he has to carry around a press cutting about Bronwyn’s achievements to counter the grief he is given by customers for making her carry furniture.
Andrew, 44, said: “Bronwyn is the best worker I have ever had. She is brilliant, she really is. She punches well above her weight.

Bronwyn, from Inverness, hoists a sofa above her head“We do removals and it is a heavy job. We do quite a physical job, and it ties in with her training.
“We turn up on jobs and get old ladies thinking I am being a cruel person making her carry all this stuff.
“They can get quite ratty about it, especially because Bronwyn is very glamorous. People think I’m some sort of Fagin but it is not like that at all.
“I have to carry articles about her around with me in the van so I can explain. People are all right once the penny drops.
“She can lift more than me. Nobody forces her to do it. Bronwyn is stronger than I am.”
Bronwyn eats six meals a day to keep her body fuelled, as she trains at the gym up to three times a day, lifting weights and running.
All her hard work paid off last week, when she deadlifted 25 stone – at the British Senior Powerlifting Championships in Burnley, Lancs, – more than double her 11st bodyweight.
She said: “I lifted 160kg. On a deadlift that’s the heaviest I have lifted.
“It was a great feeling as I had travelled over 400 miles aiming to set that record.
“I had trained really hard. I am lean and I do carry a lot of muscle, but my body fat is not that low. I don’t look like a bodybuilder.
“I don’t just lift weights, I love running as well. I train two to three times a day, depending on how I’m feeling.
“I follow quite a simple diet. Everything I have is really healthy.”
Bronwyn will now start preparing for the Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships in New Zealand.

ParticipantThere’s already a topic about Bronwyn on here (admittedly it hasn’t been updated in a while).
Also, she is not England strongest 17 Year old, she’s Scottish!

ParticipantI checked and found nothing on here about her.

ParticipantWonder if she’ll keep powerlifting or crossover to another aspect of the muscle industry

ParticipantBronwyn took part in Scotland’s strongest woman contest a while ago, I think she’s keen to get into that as well as powerlifting.
I’ve checked and there was a thread on here last year about Bronwyn (I started it!), here’s a link
Link. She also has a public page on facebook which has lots of updates and pictures on it Link
Finally, the reason I was so annoyed with the original poser is that he didn’t seem to have realised that while Scotland and England are both part of Britain they are also separate areas with their own distinctive identity. It would be like me describing someone from New York as being Californian, they might both be part of the US but they are very different places!
