A second Jack of Hearts added to the game…

Since we've had a post on what video games we're looking forward to, even though few if any had any female muscle in 'em (And cuz I'm the moderator boss-guy around here!), I figured this bit of news would be appropriate here.

My semi-cryptic title refers to the latest edition of Kingdom Hearts featuring two guys named Jack.  People will be happy to know that Jack Skellington will be back, this time following the plotline of the Nightmare Before Christmas and donning his Santa garb.  The second Jack ,surprisingly, is actually from a live-action Disney movie: Pirates of the Carribbean.  Yes, I'm referring to Jack Sparrow, and yes, he will be played by Johnny Depp, so if you've got a teenage, Depp-obsessed sister, odds are she'll be drooling over your shoulder as you play this.  And btw, Keira Knightley will also be playing her Pirates role in this game.

As far as other news, Mulan will be in this game, and Beauty and the Beast and Hercules will finally have their own full worlds, rather than Beast seeking shelter at Hollow Bastian and Herc having just a Colluseum.  You can also team up with Final Fantasy characters, including Auron from FF10,and either pull off combo moves with teammates or even merge with your teammates.

I hadn't heard about the Pirates stuff previously, so I suppose there may be even more surpises we haven't heard about.  I'm praying that everyone's favorite blue-hued, Koala-esque alien is a teammate in this game!

Anyone else have opinions?  Or any hopes as far as to who will be in the game this time around?  Feel free to comment!

Screw that. Where's everybodys favorite purple-suited superhero? You know the guy, he was always getting dangerous.

They wouldn't do that, because that would be TOO AWESOME.  Who wouldn't want to shoot Sephiroth right in the face with a gas gun?
I think it would be too much to hope to hear this in it also: "Blatherin' bagpipes! The Heartless are stealing my number one dime!"  And maybe… Magika DeSpell.

It WOULD be cool if they used the Bela Lugosi-inspired demon from Fantasia though.  He would make a pretty kick-ass boss.

Seriously though, I've been planning a KH appearence for DW.

Scene is St.Canard city, on the bridge. Sora, Goofy, and Donald are barely concious, with a strange rat-like form standing over them.
"Can't I go 10 minutes with out some costumed weirdos falling on my head and beating the tar out of me!!"
Sora feels a weight on his face. Nothing major, but something is definetly there. He feels the fabric of a mask, and sees Donald and Goofy are also dressed up like superheroes. A liquid/echoing voice speaks up.

"Well, Megs, it's not like they've beaten us yet. Besides, these look more like Value-Pack heroes then the Economy-size! You can handle them. I'll be right back!"

Soras head spins as the walking(and soon swimming) TV commercial leaps off the bridge and into the bay below. You stand up and notice the glowing(but still shadowy) figure is not alone, but has 2 Heartless with head-shaped helmets. You engage them for a bit, but do no damage to any of them. 'His' first lightning bolt takes out Donald. The next takes out Goofy. Just before the last one hits, a blue smoke fills up the screen.
"I am the Terror that flaps in the night!"
The figures seem to be shaken as they has stopped attacking. One of the Heartless is grabbed into the gas and does not emerge.
"I am the short that blows out your TV!" The other henchman dissapears into the gas.
"I…AM DARKWIIING DUCK!"
You are then prompted to pick Goofy or Donald(Launchpad tells you he found something*Phoenix Down* but only has the one). Whoever you pick is the one taken with you.

DW would have a wide variety of skills, using magic AND physical attacks. Although his gas isn't as effective as Donalds magic, and his martial arts aren't as strong as Goofy's shield, he's got quite a few "dodge" skills that he uses, which mainly relocates him, as well as an AP-free "Intimidate" skill which would give Sora, and whoever else was on DWs team, a boost to defense and lower enemy attack. Not by a whole lot at first, but still.

Wow.  You seriously have been planning this out.  You should relentessly spam SQUARENIX with this scenario until it makes it into the game. 

But who would the Heartless be teamed up with?  As much as I like F.O.W.L. (in reality, I am just a sucker for acronymns), a much more gameplay logical choice would be the Ferocious  Five (Bushroot, Megavolt, Quackerjack, the Liquidator, and Negaduck).  A big multi-boss rumble or some such.

Well I was always imagining F.O.W.L. is "motivated" by greed to hire the 5 in order to help the Heartless defeat Darkwing.
