ParticipantThanks for the link Immortal One. I'm a big fan of fantasy art. Even went on a pilgrimage to the Frazetta Museum once.

GuestWow! Thanks for the link and the choice morsels from the site, guys.
I remember this Easley pic in particular from my childhood as particularly arousing:

The woman had muscularity and showed evidence of superhuman strength in how she's sliced the ogre's club, plus it also seemed as if she might be about to lift the entire ogre off the ground by his nose ring with one arm… God, my heart rate's tripled just remembering what an effect this pic had on me as a kid…Boris's art was also (of course) very close to my heart. Thanks for the memories, guys!

As for Vallejo and Brom, I have some Portfolios of them. I prefer the darker drawings of Brom… I discovered him with his illustrations for the RPG Dark Sun.
I also like Frazetta (his famous Conan pic), Easley a lot but I would add Elmore to the list 😉

This has been, and always will be, one of my all-time favourite pictures. I've loved this one since I was… 12 or something.

Elmore was definitely my favourite artist of the era overall, and drew some beautiful and gorgeous women and fantastic men, dragons, backgrounds etc… any kid growing up with D&D in that era can't have helped love the vast amounts of art he did for it. He just never did any muscular women, which was very sad. I loved Snarfquest too – he didn't mind having a strong female fighter in it who kicked butt, but didn't make her muscular really… (although she was still very sexy!)
