What’s the deal? It’s been like six months. Made this account just to post this because I saw the first sign of life from him on the forum software update today. Anything?

It’s gigantic. It’s going to be more than 100 pages of just about everything that gives me a thrill. It’s the e-book that ate my life. I really wanted to have it done by the end of the year but it wasn’t ready.

As someone who has written his own e-books, the delays are almost most certainly worth it. Rarely has releasing an e-book early ever led to good things. Sometimes it just takes a little time to make sure everything juuuuust right.

I spent four hours on it today. It’s up over 110 pages. Almost all the artwork is placed – hundreds of images. There’s one more story I’d like to include, so maybe a few days to finish that artwork.

I’m preparing to self-publish through Gumroad.

I’ve got a bunch of parody and homage stuff in there, including a send-up of this great Frank Cho cover, except mine’s called “Muscle Romance”.

Also, it will be published at either 300 or 450 DPI, depending on what I can get away with on the file size. Rendering the images I assumed a page size of 1500 x 2250 pixels, which is roughly the same as an iPad Retina display. So it should look pretty good.
