Wow, Iczerman’s website. That is a loooong throwback. Whew.

When I first discovered “the internet” the first internet search result that I found for muscular women was at Diana the Valkyrie. Through there I discovered the library and had my first experience reading muscle growth stories, though I preferred the multimedia ones with pictures and morphs.

It was through that website that I discovered and fell in love with Scoundrel and Cancuz artwork. In fact, probably one of my most cherished cancuz artworks is of the ultra huge muscle girl wearing a white boob top, white bandana, and flowing black hair. Through exploring Diana’s website I eventually found Iczerman’s images, back when he used to draw girls with enormous breasts and erect nipples.

Continuing down the rabbit hole I found likes to Massive Productions (Scoundrel & Cancuz), Bekkakno’s Monster Muscle, then eventually found Iczerman’s gallery and the VOY forums where I met some of you old timers.

I had even memorized the voy forum number because I didn’t want to add the forum to my bookmarks on a non-personal computer.

It was so different interacting with people back then. When Iczerman’s forums was around, people were more fascinated by the fact that we could communicate with each other. Dialup was still a thing, and chatrooms were becoming popular. We were less focused on what was going on with the world and more interested in the fact that we found other people who have a fascination with muscle women.

What I particularly enjoyed about Iczerman is that he was gracious enough to host other muscle girl content not related to what he drew. It didn’t matter if you drew any of the sailor scouts, if it was muscle girl related, he would post it on his website. That was my first time writing terrible FMG fiction and my first attempt at an awful 1st time FMG animation.

Then one day, Iczerman said “oops, I accidentally deleted the website.” But I didn’t believe that for a second. He had mentioned that he was having a crisis of conscience when it came to drawing girls naked or with thick, erect nipples. Asides from losing access to prismacolor pencils, he eventually started censoring his artwork. He stopped drawing nudes and went back to drawing standard double bicep pose images. Which is a shame because Iczerman used to draw a huge variety of poses and perspectives.

So when he said, “Whoops! Accidentally lost my website!” I was thinking to myself B.S. Websites have backups and you can’t just accidentally delete it. You can lose it to a hacker, it can get deleted by someone else, or you can really screw up a website upgrade. Maybe the website software he was using at the time wasn’t delete-proof like it is now, but a lot of precious artwork got lost from that deletion.

I honestly don’t know how the transition to wreck-shop happened. Probably someone at Iczerman’s forums said that Wreck was running a forum and that we were all invited over.

I have to say that the wreck-shop forums were probably the golden age of female muscle community. Back then the community was EXTREMELY active and there were a lot less lurkers than there are now. The wreck-shop forum somehow encouraged people to participate in submitting their own artwork, especially ones to be featured on Wreck-shop’s forum.

During this time, I started chatting with community members through Yahoo Messenger, MSN, and Yahoo groups. Yahoo groups was the first and only place where you could privately host images, videos, and files, FOR FREE. So it was crazy and fun to have such an activate community participating and commenting on people’s femuscle artwork.

I thought for sure that the wreck-shop forum community would last forever, but then Wreck decided he wanted to close it down.

Thus, we enter the Amaz0ns era.

Out of all the forums, Amaz0ns has lasted the longest and this is obviously thanks to Lingster. I don’t know how he has managed to keep the stamina and effort to maintain the forum, but I am happy and grateful that he has.

The internet has changed a lot since those innocent days at Iczerman’s. Most of us were what we considered “kids” back then even if we were only 20 or so (or even younger…) In fact, I’d consider the Iczerman forums the age of discovery. Wreck-shop was the Renaissance era, and Amaz0ns in the modern age.

Although I’ve had some fond memories at Amaz0ns, there has also been some nasty fractures do to our current world and how our communication with each other has been changing. I used to frequent Yahoo messenger all the time, but as technology began to evolve, the reliance on 1 to 1 instant messaging services started to dwindle.

Once Google came around and started IDENTIFYING US ALL by name, then I completely withdrew from the community. I am okay with fellow muscle lovers know who I am. I am NOT okay with the rest of the world knowing about my female muscle love because Google said I searched for it and wanted to feature it on my profile. (not that this happens but your data can be found.)

We used to be able to have aliases everywhere. Now, all these chat programs and messenger services want to link to your one almighty social media profile. One time, I had somehow linked my facebook with daily motion, and I accidentally shared a video of Kim Perez flexing her huge muscles on facebook. I was absolutely horrified and it was only thanks to a nosy co-worker that I was able to delete the video before too many people saw it.

But from that point forward, my relationship with the female muscle community and my online profile changed.

For me, the saddest thing about the modern era is that the innocence is lost.

The best metaphor to describe is when we play with our toys as children, and when we grow up, we stop playing with our toys.

We may be fans, lovers, or have a fetish for muscular women, but the community itself is fractures and isolated in a world that promotes connection and has the capabilities to do so. We could literally host a convention or have a skype call with all of us participating in webcams, but none of us will.

I went through a period where I would log into Yahoo Messenger, or Wreck-shops chat, or Lingster’s chat, and talk with members of the community on a nightly basis. I would also chat with my old pal Smitty and trade artworks and movies while discussing upcoming projects or newly released projects. Or talk with VincentNadir, VincentX about how to be better at marketing femuscle artwork.

I’d mention KissTheManiac but he was clearly dealing with some personal issues that I hope he gets resolved one day. And of course Mikazuki who I hope is doing well with whatever she’s doing.

I used to collaborate with other artists on Iscribble and used to have time to make muscle growth animations.

I would be lying if I said that sometimes I wished we could go back to being slightly disconnected world. Back to when I had more time to chat with friends and create artwork. Back to when certain community members and artists didn’t pass away. Ah well, no choice but to keep moving forward.
