And here, I rather liked the ’02 Cartoon Network relaunch of the series.

I’m with you. I liked the early 2ooos series. Artwork was good, they were pretty faithful to the original series.. and it filled in some backstory (that wasn’t really necessary for the original). When the original series ran, kids didn’t really care about character backstory. But I think as the fanbase aged, the 2ooos series was a good opportunity to explain why Skeletor was angry, etc.
Now the early 90s ‘New Adventures’ of He-man was (my opinion) an unfortunate departure from original canon, etc. They really went off script with the aesthetics, and if I remember right, completely reworked supporting cast, but..guess they were trying to sell new toys.

Cheese and rice!!!
nerds really are the new jocks
in the 80s cartoon Man-At-Arms was always title Duncan {father of Teela}held & as Captain of the eternian army
Teela is next in order to be the successor
Hell the woman’s backstory in the 80s cartoon names her the successor trained entire life to become title : Man-At-ArmsJuly 5, 2021 at 2:32 pm #150736AlexGKeymasterAnd here, I rather liked the ’02 Cartoon Network relaunch of the series.

That about sums up the same about the 2011 Cartoon Network relaunch of Thundercats,
which I also liked and thought was even better then their attempt at bringing back He-Man.And certainly deserved a 2nd season, even if only to bring closure to the storyline.
