When Did My Child Start Living Through a Screen?

I never thought I’d be the kind of parent who worries this much about social media, but here I am. My daughter used to tell me everything about her day — now most of her stories seem to happen on Instagram with people I’ve never even heard of. Sometimes I watch her delete photos if they don’t get enough attention, and it breaks my heart to see her measure her worth in likes.
I know this is the world kids are growing up in, and I don’t want to overreact. Still, I can’t shake the feeling that she’s slowly drifting away from real-life moments. I’m trying to understand where guidance ends and control begins, but it’s not easy.
