Supergirl – the way she ought to be drawn…

    I was looking over a copy I have of Elseworlds, the DC comic that looks at other possiblities rather than their own continuity. It was titled Elseworlds Finest – Supergirl and Batgirl. The artist was Matt Haley and, oh my, what a job he did on the super women in that book. It is beyond a doubt the best rendering of some of these gals ever. Supergirl's muscles and breasts are fantastic! Wonder Woman actually looks like a woman who might have some superpowers. The only problem is I don't have access to a scanner, or I would certainly share the wealth with all of you. Would anyone else be able to help out with that?

    Sorry, I can't help unless you mail the thing to me, otherwise I would.

    I do have a question about the comic though:  Is this the Elseworlds story where Supergirl is drawn with  really short hair and the Joker is infatuated with her?  He ends up taking the Venom formula so that Supergirl will notice him?

    Great art indeed. I haven't read it, yet – got the CBR off the internet a short while ago, but it looks so good I'm trying to find the book to read, first. And yeah, that's the one you mean, Flash.

    Hey all,
    Yes, I would agree with everyone, this Elsewhere Batgirl/Supergirl issue is one of the BEST dipictions of the girls, strength-wise. I recently read it and was in awe at how muscular and sexy the girls were drawn, credit to the artist! I have the issue in its entirety, if anyone wants me to post it, let me know. 🙂

    i think you will bring lingster into trouble when you post the entire story, because of copyright reasons.

    but anyway, those were one of the best female pictures i have seen so far.

    I remember readin that. Story was alright, but not enough action for me; I wanted to see what she could do.  😐 And damnit, why'd she have to cut her hair short… eh.

    Still, she looks ab-tactular. One hell of a bustline too for an american comic.  😮
