I see some people saying it takes them hours and hours to complete a drawing from the time they put the pencil to the paper to the time they make that last stroke of colour.
So guys, my question to those who make pictures is,
how long does it take you, normally, to complete a full-colour pic of say, one character?
Also, what are the steps you take? Do you draw in pencil and ink it traditionally? Do you draw and ink digitally? Do you colour digitally, or traditionally?
And one mor thing,
which part of the drawing takes the longest?
I'm probably sure it depends on a few things.
I draw in pencil, and ink traditionally. I RARELY ink digitally (only thing I've inked digitally in a LONG time is this; http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/749/luboobscol1if.jpg
I's know not of art but Creation is Creation.
It can take any time between several hours and several months to complete one of my's tales and oft longer if the Muse is not right.
Time should not be an issue when you are creating. For what many seem as moment could be an enternity and an enternity mere moments -if things play in favour or against your spirit.
A thing takes how ever long to be created because that is how long it takes. Things cannot be rushed or you will forever feel as though it is faulted and things shall never sit right with you.
Though that is merely the opinion of this faulted Flesh, no more.

Hey Kulli…sounds as tho' you and me take about the same time to create a picture and use the same kind of method ….'cept my pencils aint got colour.
A pencil and ink drawing takes anything from half hour to 2 hours max. A Paint Shop Pro coloured picture takes 3 hours max.
Which part takes the longest?….erm… I guess it would be a back….not a body part I draw to often, so I aint quite so quick at that particular view.
On real paper to scanner about 40mins to an hour. On just a mouse on GIMP about the same time.
Between 1 to 4 hours.
