Remember "Coyote"? I met him yesterday!

…So there I was, at my stand at Disney-MGM yesterday (March 12), when a gentleman comes up and wants to shake my hand; says he's a fan. Well, I'm a little slow on the uptake sometimes, and I've never had anyone come up out of the blue* to mention my site or my characters, I thought he'd seen me drawing the caricatures earlier and was talking about that… until I slowly realize he is indeed talking about my website! (Make me feel kinda stupid; but then that's not hard to do!)

The biggest surprise was yet to come: he tells me that, in a previous incarnation, he was known as "Coyote"!

Of course I recognized the name; and I told him there were still a lot of his fans who'd want to know what happened to him. He says he simply retired, "closed the book" on that part of his life. He's now a high-school teacher with a wife and family (I met one of his children, a son) and is now, understandably, very reluctant to be associated publicly with the kind of art he was producing. We reminisced about the late lamented Wreck Shop forum; he says he does check in here at Amaz0ns every once in awhile, so he might eeven be reading this.

Anyway, I figured there'll be people here who were/are fans of his who'd like to know he is alive and well, but retired from the muscle-babe-art game.

*I have been contacted by fans who've told me they were coming down, so I knew to look for them; this is the first time I've ever been "surprised" by a visit.
