If you read the gamespot article, the reviewers say you can adjust the muscle tone and breast size.
Anyone with an X-Box 360 want to rent the game and post screenshots of how muscular these chicks get?
If you look on the screenshots you can definitely see some muscle definition, just pay attention to the legs and you'll see what I'm talking about it.
If anyone knows about this, please inform the public!
March 30, 2006 at 8:56 am #25347Dr.OttoParticipantGood luck finding a rental; MS has instituted a hardline rental policy against places such as Blockbuster and the like.
I was moderately interested in this game at first, but it seems as if the gameplay doesn't quite cut it, and the words 'shallow' and 'lack of depth' surface far too often in the reviews for my taste.
March 30, 2006 at 9:05 am #25348flashHEART.EXEParticipantFor those wanting to rent:
http://www.gamefly.com/products/detail.asp?pid=118290&fcTrack=Search?-?-If you don't already use gamefly, you should. In my area it costs about 8 bucks to rent a game, vs the 16.99 a month at gamefly. On average I am able to get 3-4 games a month, but hey, that is just my 2 cents.
Do you have any links to news stories/articles about MS cracking down on rental places? Because if the info boils down to ZOMG MICRO$OFT BILLION DOLLAZ PROFIT CONSPIRACY FOR THEIR MILLIONZ, I wouldn't trust it too much.
March 30, 2006 at 9:08 am #25349Dr.OttoParticipantNot specifically; I understand that the process for obtaining a rental license involves jumping through more flaming hoops than the Xbox did, though.

I don't believe you can change their mass, but I was watching some gameplay footage and could see that you could change the muscle tone for sure. From what I saw the characters DO visibily get more ripped if you start turning up the slider.
Go here:

Then click on
Rumble Roses XX gameplay Movie 1, with the guy's head as the thumbnail. During character creator you will see "Dixie's" costume being changed and as its changed you will see some ripped muscles on her body.
He's a screenie of the muscle slider on medium I believe.

April 3, 2006 at 8:59 am #25351Dr.OttoParticipantI ended up biting the bullet on this one and picking it up, and luckily, it's been a lot of fun this far.
Just to clarify, you CAN increase mass 9in the 'Body' tab) as well as definition; five areas (bust, arms, body, waist, and legs) can have their overall size increased. There is DEFINITELY a noticeable difference between someone set at 50% and someone maxed at 100%. To make your character more competitive, you really kinda HAVE to increase muscle mass/definition and body dimensions; by the time you've boosed everything to 100% you end up with characters looking like light/middleweight Olympia contenders. Most players, at least online, will likely end up handicapping themselves by making their girls 'look good' as opposed to boosting their strength to where they're more effective in the ring (movesets change and become more powerful with the increase in muscle size/definition).
The catch is that you can't just increase stats arbitrarily; to increase muscle tone you have to use a lot of striking moves, and to increase overall mass you need to use a lot of suplex moves. It's sort of interesting watching the transformation of your character as you train and progress through the matches.
To give you an example of how this system works, one of my custom characters has a punch combo that does about 25% health bar damage to an opponent at the default 50% muscle/body settings; when all of these were maxed to 100%, the same combo now does 50% or more damage to a full health bar.
April 3, 2006 at 9:33 am #25352The Muffin manParticipantAny possibility of screencaps?
April 3, 2006 at 9:38 am #25353TC2ParticipantI know Rudi once did a Smackdown Vs. Raw video which was awesome!
Well if any screencaps or mobile phone video can be taken, please share as we haven't been able to see how these bodies are achieved!
April 3, 2006 at 9:44 am #25354Dr.OttoParticipantI don't really have any manner in which I can capture these, at least not yet.
April 4, 2006 at 5:41 am #25355errant12345ParticipantI just picked up this game, today. It's got lotsa shiny and there's LOTS to do and unlock. Definitely worth the time and money, especially with the ability to make fairly buff girls!
