    There might not be much in the way of august femuscle, but given the Amazonian displays of strength and prowess by one of the principal characters, Queen Brunhild (as played by Kristanna Loken) I'm surprised this two-part movie on the Sci-Fi channel was missed by our TV Alerts radar.

    Yeah, my nephew DVRed the movie and I caught a glimpse of it.  It seems to be a retelling of the famous Ring saga involving Sigfried and Brunhilde which is from Norse mythology and from which Wagner wrote his famous musical (Ride of the Valkyrie, et al).

    The queen (Brunhilde) has the same mantra that Red Sonja has, that no man may wed her until she is bested in combat by him.  She'll know that man when she sees him, etc.  It was hard to see what kind of physique she has since the scene I saw her in had her covered in furs.
