KeymasterHe apparently clicked the "I certify that I am 18 years of age" at some point in the fairly decent past. So it was probably for the best that I looked at the calendar yesterday and noticed for the first time that he's only 17.
I contemplating suspending him until he turned 18, but at that point it would have amounted to about 9 hours, so I let it slide.
I remember turning 18. Ronald Reagan was still in office. I especially remember my high school graduation a few months later, which was the first time (and not the last) I ever got alcohol poisoning! I waited about 36 hours before attempting to eat solid food – a single Dorito. Then I spent about 2 minutes vomiting up the Dorito chip and 25 minutes with the worst dry heaves I've ever experienced. I considered killing myself to make them stop.
So congrats, BlackKusanagi, you've got all of that to look forward to.

ParticipantI turned 18 in 1971; Richard Nixon was president! His first term, too, if i remember correctly.
I also remember the senior class trip we made to Washington DC (from Williams High in Burlington NC). At the time the legal drinking age in NC was 21, but 18 in DC; so a lot of my classmates were looking forward to only one thing…
I saw those guys get so sick from consuming mass quantities of alcohol that I swore then never to get drunk, because it did not look like any fun at all. (It helps that in my case I can't stand the taste of most alcohol, so never drank enough to get drunk. Which reminds me of my one-and-only encounter with tequila… but that's another post for another day.)
Anyway… HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BK!!

I was like, I cant belive im lying, but then again, I loved the comminuity and wanted to contribute enough to show how much I wanted to go through. So… thank you both. It does mean a lot hearing that from the both of you. *bows* Now for 21… *stares at calendar*

ParticipantI turned 18 when Bill Clinton was in office, though it was Tony Blair who had just been put in charge of my country. My parents organised a big party and I did my best not to get drunk. And I didn't! There have been plenty of alcohol-related incidents since then, though. But, as a great man said before me, that's for another post…
Happy Birthday, Mr. Kusanagi! Have a great time.

ParticipantHappy Birthday, B.K! When I was 18… Carter was still in office, I had just registered for the (theoretical) draft, the hostages had been taken in Iran, and we all wondered if we'd be sent there…
BOY did I luck out!

ParticipantHappy birthday! I don't have anything to really say about my turning 18, being that it was about a week less than a year ago. Sorry that I couldn't be nearly as entertaining. 😛

ParticipantLololol, I was wondering about that myself.
Roffle BK, you go man.
Heck, I was looking at musclegirl since the age of like 15 or so, but roffle at 18. Most stunning thing I can remember about my 18th is I tasted my first (and last, huargh) alcohol, copped a feel off my best friend and her 36 d's, and got my first temp credit card of 100 bucks tenure.
Lol, the first expenses were Awefilms and Digital Amazons.
Happy 18th oh artistic sir.April 23, 2006 at 5:38 pm #27059The_Pimp_NeonBlack
