When most most people hear the word, "model" they think of people like Rebecca Romijn or Brad Pitt. Being a model isn't just about promoting sex. Sure it helps when you're trying to sell underwear or a trip to Paris but what about the casual stuff? It doesn't take a perfect specimen to promote things like computers and food. In fact, what most people want to see is someone more like them. They want to see that they don't have to be perfect to own a Dell or to eat snack cakes. I'd like to see Natalie Portman in her lingerie using a BowFlex as much as the next guy but I also wanna see something real like Judy Dench speaking honestly with great presentation that Dasani spring water is crisp and pure. True modeling isn't just about flashing your boobs around. It's also about presentation and charm. If all you want is sex, download some porn. My point is that models are not selling themselves; they are paid to enhance the appeal of the products which they are selling. You can't buy the model so you better damn well make sure they were being honest before you spend your money on what they were really offering.
