Those Daikon pieces are just gorgeous.
I agree. He has such an "economy of line" in his work. If you look closely at the drawings (as if it's possible to resist that temptation!) you can see that he uses a single-width line throughout and adds depth with shading. But the linework stands on its own. I cannot recall many artists that can produce such good work with such simple lines. I'm a big fan of his art.
