    Hello, all.

Has anyone mentioned "Police Academy: The Series" before? the Ep., Worth Her Weight In Gold, features a large female bodybuilder/wrestler, Amazona. She likes to flex, wrestle, and thieve priceless goods. I think it's the second or third series.

Also, does anyone remember an old, old, old Warner Bros cartoon that featured a heroine who was "as strong as a lion"? It has a brief shot of her striking a muscular pose, then hurling a stunned lion around (lol)but I think it pre-dates the development of Bugs Bunny and Co. as we know them today… I was amazed that the animators drew a heroic woman back then.

Couldn't find anything on the Warner Bros. cartoon you mentioned, but I'll add the Police Academy episode to the list.

Lord, good luck finding a frame grab of that one!

Ah yes, it was "She Was an Acrobat's Daughter." but it took place in a 1930s movie theater.  And they had a little singalong with an organ while they did a slideshow with pics and the lyrics …  which went like this:

    She was an acrobat's daughter
Her muscles would swell up like yeast
One look from her face put gents in their place
(PLEASE DO NOT SPIT ON THE FLOOR)
For she feared neither boy, man, or beast!

Oh!  She was the star of the circus
She used to tame lions beside,
    One bit her named Jack,
    She bit him right back,
In two days, the poor lion died!

😼 Eeep, that's going to be a tough one to find. That one came out in 1935 I think. The farthest back toon in the DVD set for the Looney Toons goes back to 1938 and the DVD sets don't touch toons outside of the mainstream characters.

FYI — Anyone with enough interest and a few coins can find a cheap VHS tape of that Police Academy animated episode on Amazon (Vol. 3 of the series).
