ParticipantSeeing how everyone has just been lavishing this board with amazing images of well-defined, cut physiques, I revisited the drawing board with a new vision of Tanya in my head. I decided to work her into my more 'realistic' style, and to make it a two-fer I redrew her with a distinctive off-season thickness since I haven't been doing much of that lately (and I know more than a few of you like my off-season pics).
Though not my original intention, this one ended up being a topless image. I'm always experimenting with different things, and one of the goals that I'm working towards is the ability to depict partially-nude subjects in an artistic manner that both men and women can appreciate (much like my first attempt, 'Narcissism'). Confidence and a positive self-image are the sorts of qualities I want to project from within the character, and I want to try to bring a sort of artistic credibility to partially-nude FBBs (even if mine are still proportioned out of the realm of reality). Tanya here seems more than confident being a little off-season meaty, and I think she's the perfect subject to explore this line of expression. After all, she WAS a model once, so you know the camera still loves her. :p
I'm really beginning to think that I might be on to something with the off-season look. It's not something you find too often, and I think I'm going to be working with it a lot in the near future…could be I'm actually a little better at it than I am with ripped, well-cut physiques.

ParticipantGreat looking and looking forward for more off season looks. Going to create new characters for that or use some that you already have?

ParticipantAn incredible work, dear Christopher.
It is most excellent how matural her pose is depicted -especially in terms of how her breasts to fall.
And though I's am far from a fan of body piercings, you show them in a very realitic and alluring style.Thank you for this wonderful work.
Peace

ParticipantThanks to both of you. This kind of feedback is invaluable inasmuch as knowing if I'm hitting my intended marks. The body piercing thing is actually a holdover from one of my ex-girlfriends, Kei, whom I dated in LA over a decade ago. I was never really into it before I started dating her, but she changed all that…it's true that not everyone looks good in piercings, but boy she sure did. Every time I do a piece that has more than just the ears pierced, you can bet I'm thinking of Kei. :p

Probably some new ones; Andrah's been at the fore of my off-season movement for awhile already, and I did have some other characters at my DA gallery before I shut it down. I tend to stick with a lot of the same characters though, and Tanya is probably going to be the main focus of the off-season look for the time being…so you long-hair fans are kinda outta luck. :p

ParticipantI think you are correct about the off season look indeed, though I prefer my girls with longer hair and less piercings. đ

Honestly, how many pics have I done with long hair? :p I'm a fan of short hair as well as body piercings, when done in moderation. I'm a big fan of tattoos as well, but I'm not so good at tribal designs (which are the types I like the most) so I don't use them too often.
As someone who's HAD long hair before, it's very impractical and even more of an annoyance when combined with the fitness lifestyle, which is another reason I rarely draw it long.

I agree with the impracticality, but I'm irrationally still partial to the long hair. Have you ever considered just doing the base body as a layer and then doing piercings and hair in separate layers? You could create different versions fairly easily that way.

I don't do layers…I do pencil on paper, and then I scan it in. :p I don't really do different versions of the same image under normal circumstances; If i'm going to draw something different I may as well just draw something entirely new. Still, it's not as if piercings can't be erased, but after modding the image and pulling off all but the earring hoops, she just looks like she's missing something as far as I'm concerned. I didn't like that version such to the point that I haven't even posted it anywhere.
Long hair's just not my thing; plenty of guys on here work with long hair, but I wouldn't count on me joining that group. I'm just not a fan of long hair on muscular girls, and it's not a point I see myself changing. I guess you can say between the short hair and the body adornments, I'm filling an even smaller subgenre of an already small fandom to begin with.
