In honor of "Talk Like a Pirate day" 2006

Avast ye lubbers! Have ye forgotten that today be "Talk Like a Pirate" Day?? Shiver me timbers! Well, don't get yer sheepshanks in a twist, I be here ta remind ye, and to regale ye with another tale o' Carlotta, Princess of Plunder!

Seems this seaworthy wench has heard the legends of the treasure of Bloody Richard, the foulest, most vicious pirate what ever menaced the seven seas. This booty was buried somewhere on Torgo Key, and that it's got a curse on it: the spirits of the crew what helped Bloody Richard bury the treasure (and whom Richard slaughtered to keep 'em from spillin' the secret of its location) still guard the treasure.

Now Carlotta, she be not the superstitious type; all she saw was the chance to dig up the richest haul ever. But she found out the hard way that the curse be true!…

And now I has ta start talkin' normal again, 'cause this pirate voice be rough on the throat…

Not my best work, I admit; like the previous Carlotta pic linked to above, this was a rush job so that I could post it today. (Started last night.) The idea was more important than the execution. I'd love to revisit this pic (and this character) in the future and do a more professional rendering. But for now… enjoy, mateys!
