Great time for me to be broke.

Is it too unrealistic?
September 29, 2006 at 8:46 am #40402TC2ParticipantYeah, too unrealistic and not well proportioned. The arms and neck I usually enjoyed but the shape of the body was very awkward. It's kind of like looking at a stick figure with muscles, though in some of his pictures he manages to get away from that.
But in most cases it just doesn't look very realistic or appealing, it's not even an exaggerated artwork style or anything like that. It's just not exactly work you should be paying for when compared to other artists.

But to be fair, isn't it OK to not be realistic at times? That Sailor Moon pic wasn't half bad for instance…
September 29, 2006 at 4:13 pm #40404TC2ParticipantActually I think his Sailor Moon is one of his best ones.
But the Daphne one has her arms in awkward positions, she looks like a stick figure with beefy arm attachments. Velma's calves are bigger than her quadriceps, and April has huge arms but tiny legs.
There's no sense of balance in his illustrations, one body part will be randomly bigger than the other and it's definitely not something that's intentional. Alpha's artwork is something to be viewed, not paid for.

January 18, 2007 at 9:56 am #40406CKParticipantOh, someone else to add to my watchlist, thanks for the heads up.
I did join the site a few years back and the main reason to do so is sequences. Very nice and good number, but like many pay sites output isn't enough to justify staying subscribed IMO…

I, for one, will never discourage an artist to keep on improving his craft. Everyone's art on this site has improved from sheer practice and I think that it's great. Keep it up everybody!
