Hello all,
I am in the process of trying to find ALL Valkyrie's issues, including a list of everyone who has dawn the Brunnhilde guise. I was so surprised that mant girls have called upon the Valkyrie's power as she's one of my favorite Superheroines. Here is the list I have so far, can someone who is fluent with Marvel's muscled warrior and legendary, help me complete this list? Thanks,
Fonzie

Danielle MoonstarHmmm, I might be a bit out of date, but to the best of my knowledge Danielle Moonstar during her time in the original run of the New Mutants wasn't The Valkyrie, but A Valkyrie as one of that order as a Chooser of the Slain.
BTW – and she led (at least in the What If issue where the New Mutants stayed in Asgard) them against Hel when she tried to take over the place. So you might want to add that one to your list of acquisitions.

She basically used it as a disguise to create the Liberators, a group of females that opposed the Avengers. The Wasp, Black Widow and a few others were mind-controlled by the Enchantress.

Thanks everyone for the replies. 🙂 Yes, I know that Dani Moonstar becomes a 'Dark Valkyrie' but I'm still catagorizing her as Valkyrie because Brunnhilde originlly gave her access to those powers. (according to X-Force Annual 1997) 🙂I would also like to know what issue of What If does Dani/Valkyrie appear where they go to Asgard? (I'd like to locate that one as well)
Thanks!

Hmmm, perhaps so, that they've changed the storyline in the time since, but I have the NM Special Edition #1 (see below) where she gained her valkyric ablities and Brunnhilde never appeared once or even had anything to do with it. Rather she saved one of the winged horses that the valks ride from certain doom and by that selfless act it choose her as its empowered rider.
Anyway, the alt-story appears in What If (1989) #12 – featuring Storm – the Goddess of Thunder:

November 7, 2006 at 7:10 pm #42732Zespara AlatharParticipantI've always felt that Rogue is the one heroine who has been badly misused in regards to FMG. She's demonstrated it in Marvel Team-Up #150 (stealing Juggernaut's powers) and the What If? issue you mentioned (#66 Vol. 2 – Thor's powers).
However, in X-Men #212-215 storyline involving Juggernaut, she showed no increase in musculature. :-
In Xtreme X-Men around #18 or so, she did increase it using Colossus' power. She also became a thinned down Thing in the X-Men/Fantastic Four miniseries.
She's never directly absorbed the Hulk's powers although she took his power in a miniseries from some sort of device that copied some hero's powers. It was based on some sort of game that I cannot recall. Rogue never gained any muscles from that episode.
She's taken She-Hulk's powers in an X-Men Annual mentioned elsewhere on these boards. She initially gained some muscles but when another artist took over she lost them. It was a great demonstration of artistic taste between pencillers who like or dislike women having muscles.
I'm sure there are a few other examples but I'll stop right now. 🙂
