Question on Tetsuko and Dr. Sonya’s Musical tastes…

    Okay, I know Tee-Chan and the Doc both big, big, BIG fans on J-Pop, anime soundtracks, et al…

    BUT!  I gotta ask…

    What do they think of "Weird Al" Yankovic?

    Sorry to take so long to respond…

    Well, as it happens, their opinions of Weird Al are very similar to mine! (Wotta coinkydink!)

    They enjoy his earlier stuff (say, up through the  "Dare to Be Stupid" and "In 3-D" albums; Sonya is especially fond of "LIke a Surgeon"; she says she's met interns like that!), but haven't made much effort to keep up with his later stuff. At least partially because I'm – I mean, they're – not a big fan of the current pop music scene, knowledge and appreciation of which is kinda crucial to a full understanding of the Weird One's ouvre.

    If you want to include a Weird Al reference in an upcoming Tetsuko story, go for it!
