    (Certainly had no use for the judges one yr at the Ms O, flipped 'em the bird as I recall.)

    Wasn't the IFBB still banning female bodybuilders for posing nude then?

    I'm not sure whether that was still true or not, maybe Masschine would know.  As I recall, her beef was with the panel of judges and the (still) insane criteria for judging standards that continue to fluidly change from year to year. 

    The audience was on her side when she boldly stepped onto the posedown stage just to prove her point, but in the end it's what got her black-balled by the Weider Mafia and pretty much ended her competitive career.

    I remember reading about this in Musclemag and Flex at the time…so I dug it out. (Pity me.)

    It was actually the 1992 Ms. International that Anja Schreiner won, and according to Peter McGough's Flex sidebar, Birchumshaw gave the judges the "gesture of…well, self-abuse"! 😮

    I wonder what became of ol' girl…
