Love seeing the progress in this set of pics…not sure why, but then again its Tet-chan sunbathing so what more do I need.

You should definitely give Coke Zero a try, then. It does taste like regular Coke.
Day 8:
Holy crud, I've been at this pic a week already?? Oy.
Today was another long workday (as they all will be for about another week – the Easter tourist season, don'cha know), so I only got a tiny bit of work done.

That's the best bit!

I have tried Coke Zero. Something about it doesn't taste quite right. I can't put my finger on it. I got a 2-liter bottle for free and my father-in-law and I tried it. We both gave it the thumbs down.
Back to your pic… I'm not familiar with the process of the shading like you did with Sonia. Is there a way you could explain it to non-talented Paintshop folks like myself on what you did if it's not too much trouble. :-
Thanks,

Well, with my limited knowledge of Photoshop, I think all he has to do is cut-and-paste the entire image, and the white background will become transparent.

Thanks,
ZCheck out this tutorial that I posted to my site some years ago; it's pretty much the same technique I still use. If you still have questions. let me know and I'll try to answer them.

At the moment, the line art, figure colors and beach background exist on three separate layers. The line art and figure color layers are turned on, the beach layer off. The blending mode for the color layer is "multiply", so that the line art on the layer underneath is visible. When the time comes to combine the figures with the beach setting (I can't call it the "background" layer because the line art layer, being the bottommost, is called "Background" in Photoshop), I'll reset the blending mode to "Normal" on the figure color layer, then (making sure the figure layer is on top of the setting layer) merge the two layers so that there's one layer that holds all the color, and one that holds the line art. I'll set the blending mode on the color layer to "multiply" once again, so that the line art shows through. It's easier than I've made it sound, really.

The days, they've passed in a blur. (Holiday tourist seasons tend to have that effect on me.) I've done bits of work here and there, on lunch breaks and the like, the past few days, but have always felt too lethargic once I got home to post the results. But here they are, the basic "three-dimensionality" of Tetsuko completed, waiting now for the addition of highlights and the gleam of suntan oil.
But now that I've got two days off, I should be able to make substantial progress, if not finish it outright. (That will be a relief!)
