James Lileks posts scans of retro photos and printed materials on his site periodically, with editorial comments. He's got one of a DC Comics cover from the 40s that made me laugh out loud:
I love Lileks! His "Institute of Official Cheer" is one of my favorite humor sites (along with Homestar Runner).
Well, I came for the comic book cover… but I stayed for the Institute and http://www.lileks.com. Thanks for being the gateway to all that. Retro stuff and photos (and snickering at them) always rule.
(Side note… what will our kids and grandkids be snickering at when they see OUR golden moldy stuff?)
I liked the Peculiar Art of Mr Frahm best – did the guy have a celery fetish? đŽ ??? Link: http://www.lileks.com/institute/frahm/indexmain.html
