Final girl – a trope meaning the last girl standing in horror/slasher films. The term was first made by Carol Clover in her book, "Men, Women, and Chainsaws".
The comic book "Hack/Slash" is being penned for the silver screen. It's a mix of Buffy and a parody of slasher/horror films. A girl was the final girl in the remake of the Hitchhiker. Didn't see that but I want to see the upcoming "Storm Warning" film. It features French actress, Nadia Feres, who starred in "The Crimson Rivers".
Who is your favorite final girl? Jessica Biel in "Texas Chainsaw Massacre"? Ripley of the Alien films? Jamie Lee Curtis? What do you think makes a convincing final girl?
I'm not sure…I like Jamie Lee Curtis…but I'm partial to Ripley too.
I would have to say I am pretty partial to Milla Jovovich (Alice) in the Resident Evil movies. Not only is she hot but she also kicks some serious a**!
