ParticipantUltimate Spider Man sucked ass. I remember asking myself "Why are they on counter earth? Why does the art look like this? Why is everything so ugly? What's with the terrible voice acting?" Everything was lackluster quality and was an insult to cartoons everywhere, the original spider-man animated series was a lot better. That's the one which actually showed you Black Cat growing muscles, which was pretty damn sexy.

ParticipantYeah, the rights regarding these properties are just a big mess and really the only people that pay are the people that enjoy cartoons… because anyone that thinks "The Batman" is anything but banal product promoting junk is slower than the average bear… or about 8, not a patch on JLU or Batman: TAS or even Batman Beyond…
I've heard talk of a new Spiderman cartoon though… admittedly that was in the Mac vs. PC parody Marvel vs. DC… which I'd heartily recommend.

ParticipantBecause the DC Comics properties are owned by Time-Warner, they have a weird and aggressive way of dealing with their trademarks. So once "The Batman" cartoon was launched, they weren't enthusiastic about having another version of Batman in a different animated franchise (JLU). Likewise Teen Titans, which had a Batman-associated character in Robin. At least that's what I've heard.
Yeah, The Batman is why none of Batman's supporting cast or villains showed up in JLU (save for that one Cadmus group shot with Hugo Strange). Why on Earth they'd sacrifice two great shows for a pile-o'-crap like TB is beyond the comprehension of sentient beings.

ParticipantAttention, all! Since this thread got WAY off-topic, I split this thread up. If you want to discuss all those cartoons NOT related to She-Hulk's appearance in Fantastic Four, here's the place to do it. 'Kay? 'Kay.

ParticipantThe only answer I can think of is tah network executives, think they know what kids want to see in their animated shows. They don't give a rats @$$ about the rest of the people that mioght end up seeing the show. Those guys are sololy driven by money, and the different ways the can make more money, fast, and with the least investment in the product.

ParticipantAccording to the episode guide for the FF series the "Bait and Switch" episode which will air at the end of June:
Dr. Doom causes an energy surge during one of Reed's experiments. As a result the Four have swapped powers with one another. Now the team must face Doom with new and untrained skills.
Here's hoping that Sue will get super-strength (and hopefully not the rockiness) of the Thing. But she'll probably wind up with Reed's powers. :-

That could make for a really entertaining episode. Do all the things I wished they din in The InNcredibles. But alas probably not.
Regarding the WB's snagging of all the Batman characters away from JLU. It probably has a lot to do with the WB agreeing to put another comic based show on their channel. They were probably the major money behind it and DC agreed because otherwise the WB could have saved money and gone for the 40th Japanese card playing cartoon.

ParticipantYou can never have too many Japanese trading card game related cartoons!
I doubt that Sue will "Thing out"… besides if you want to see that – Manic did a sequence along those lines.

Do tell. I must've missed that one somehow. Whereabouts is this sequence that you speak of? I do remember him doing a possible future tale in which the Thing's daughter could turn into a She-Thing at will.
