Okay, ladies and gents, since this is an all out Fandom & Nerd section, and because Issue 1 just came out Wednesday, what do you all think of World War Hulk so far?

Myself, I quite enjoyed the first issue. I liked seeing the Hulk get revenge on Black Bolt and others and look forward to the next issue. I like how it presents both sides in as honest a light as possible. For Iron Man, this means showcasing him and his hypocritical moral ideology at its best. For the Hulk, it shows him as a man who had everything he ever wanted taken away from him, and you can't blame him for wanting revenge.

And She-Hulk does make an appearance AS She-Hulk. Her part is small but a million times better than Millar's interpretation of her in Civil War. If Pak takes over the writing reins for She-Hulk in the aftermath of Slott's departure, I wouldn't mind.

Yeah, I liked her – minor – appearance. She was amusing but also

They really ought to stop going on and on and on and on and on about the Hulk being very, very angry. Yeah we GET IT. Talk about labouring a point.

Iron Man getting schooled really wasn't that surprising… because it wouldn't be much of a world war if the Hulk got KO'd in the first round.

I got it, looks like it's off to a good start – Smash Stark!  ;D 8)

They really should have listen to Namor – now they shall reap the gamma whirlwind.

Why does no one ever go "Let's just teleport him into the sun?"

Also, is it just me or has the whole Planet Hulk/World War Hulk established that the Hulk is just fine in a vacuum? I guess he's so angry, he doesn't have to breathe.

Well, I suppose having your entire planet blown up means that you can stand on the masthead of your starship for the whole trip home and not have to worry about breathing once.

I'm sure there's a Chuck Norris inspired joke here pertaining to the Hulk's ability to breathe in space, but I'm not going to make it.

Well, the guy has survided 2 nuclear explosions. I don't think an intergalactic trip of millions of light years could even make him take one breath.

Now, seriuosly, I think it is just to prove how pissed off is the Hulk and how anything can stop him now. They took away all that he ver wanted, like titaneer pointed out, but that is the important thing. for the first time the Hulk was concidered a person, not a monster. He had found a place were he could live as the Hukl and not be feared of or attacked every time he shouwed up. People saw him as a model as a leader, so when they took that away, he decided to erradicate everybody that made him ANGRY (yes, they kind of over dir it).
I'm actually really eager to see how the story develops, and I'm not to worryied about marvel screwing up the story like they did with Civil War, because Millar is not writing it, thankfully!

I also hope that Pak decides to take Slott's place, that would be promissing.

I thought he was just supposed to get stronger when he got angry – not more invulnerable… also, this kind of makes a mockery of the Future Imperfect timeline where Maestro is destroyed by getting sent back to New Mexico at the time of the gamma bomb detonation… he was supposedly a lot more powerful than present day Banner… sigh.

But anyway, I suppose I'm overthinking what is essentially just an excuse to have Hulk smash… a lot.

I'm liking WWH too. (Still think Jen is a tool  😉 ) But Hulk's power level is getting pretty ridiculous. Years ago, when he was a mindless savage, he wasn't nearly as strong. If he beats Sentry, that means he's stronger than Superman  😮 😮

On Hulk's power level: I've heard that what happened was that, due to Sakaar's increased gravity, Hulk developed more power to overcome its effects. Yet another reason why the Illuminati has only themselves to blame for a stronger Hulk coming back.

So, that's one reason why his power levels have reached utterly ridiculous levels. Not that I'm complaining, mind you. I just want to see him actually use that big sword he made in Hulk 105 against someone. Sure he can use his fists, but let's see him go all Conan on somebody, please =D.

Oh, and if someone shot She-Hulk to a distant planet and she had to adopt a chain link bikini and call herself Jade Jen, I'd be down with that too, as cheesy as it would be.

Let's hope they don't cop out showing an actual fight again. Hulk vs Black bolt was rather disappointing, considering all of the buildup.
