Just thought you guys would like to see some progress pics of a sprite I'm working on for Rebellion Fighters W. It's going to be a 2D fighter, in the vein of Guilty Gear X or Marvel vs Capcom, but with some novel concepts. The game concept is by Imari and the sprite design was mainly based on the superb concept art by Mikazuki — FMG Game concept art (NSFW).
I'm using the vector animation software Anime Studio Pro (formerly Moho), to do all of the in game graphics. It definitely seems like it will be up to the task. The character is all rigged and ready to animate. Problem is we need artists to help draw action poses and help out with the animation process. Any takers?
There's more concept art and progress shots at Imari's DeviantArt page http://imarea.deviantart.com. Imari is also looking for some people who can do can do 3D game character and environmental modeling as well.

Awesome.

If you make your character as a MUGEN character, all you have to do is create a character rather than an entire game/engine. You can probably build a game around MUGEN too. Start small, and work up from there.

I knew the name "Imari" was familiar. I remember reading stuff about "game concepts" from Imari, like, 3 years ago.

Yeah, I'm definitely planning on doing a port of this character for M.U.G.E.N., or even an RPG or platform engine. At the moment my main goal is to learn how to animate, and this is about the most fun way I can imagine doing it. If I can help someone else reach their goals at the same time then all the better. Also, there's precious little female muscle in games these days, so we've no choice but to create our own. Anyway, feel free to make suggestions for improvement, even if it's just, "Her boobs are giving me motion sickness". It all helps ;).
