So today I'm digging about in the archives of the Amaz0ns forum, waaay back to http://amaz0ns.com/option,com_smf/Itemid,135/topic,210.0/ which was posted in November 2004. and in this post there was a post that had a link to this webpage
http://www.withinthisrealme.org/index.htm which led me to this story
http://www.withinthisrealme.org/TROA/ToC.htm which is MY STORY. It's been rewritten, and I was given a sort of backhanded credit to having the original idea but I must say it's very distressing to see something I labored quite long on butchered in this manner. (You might say I'm not pleased with the "improvements" Mr. Nagle has made.)
I'm not laying blame or pointing fingers to anyone, I just want to know if anyone here knows the person who runs the site/wrote the story and how to get in touch with him? The lack of updates for the last 7 months doesn't instill me with much confidence that he will check his email regularly. And if for whatever reason he happens to be a member here would he care to explain why he didn't tell me that he had rewritten my story when I finally did resurface on the face of the internet?

He seems to suggest that you have vanished, which patently you have not. A bit of detective work on his part would have found you here, as you still go under the same alias.

From what Silent One has since (since this was originally posted) told me via PMs, the issue with Robert Nagle has been relatively resolved.
“I like a good story well told. That is the reason I am sometimes forced to tell them myself.”
~ Mark Twain / Samuel Clemens (1907)September 21, 2007 at 7:51 pm #60009Silent OneParticipantYea, I don't how resolved the issue actually is. After an exchange of emails he pulled down the links from his home page but the files were still up. A recent follow up reveals that the files are still there and indeed, the links have returned as well.
I'll be perfectly honest, this reimaging greatly pisses me off. I'd hate for anyone to think I had anything at all to do with this version of the story which showcases overdone prose in contrast to my fast paced action story, bizzare transformations, (ok this may be a matter of opinion on my part, I suppose some would argue that growing women are bizarre in their own right) nipples that pierce bulletproof glass (I wish I making that up) and horrible contradictions to the science behind the rings (though to be perfectly fair there's no way he could know that because it was never explained but that's not even really the point.)
As irked as I am regarding this I'll be satisfied as long as he doesn't post a sequel. The changes he made would move any sequel in a drasticaly different direction than I intended and now that he knows full well that I'm still lurking about and dissaprove; his "abandoned" story excuse won't cut it.
To be completely fair I did vanish from the internet for a period of about four years (personal reasons I'd rather not get into) and didn't resurface until just after he was already done reworking my story. If it hadn't been for digging deep into unread topics on Amaz0ns I wouldn't have discovered the plagirism at all even though it's been three years after the fact. I suppose I should be flattered that he thought so highly of it but I would have been far more flattered if he had just archived it untouched.
Yes, I'm fully aware that I'm ranting, it's a bit of a sore subject for me. *gets down off his soapbox.

On visiting his site, the tone of his introduction seemed arrogant and presumptuous.

One could argue that "borrowing" someone else's novel length work for their own ends is arrogant and presumptuous. He didn't even wait long enough for me to be declared legally dead >:(
