With so many people that contribute on this site from so many different areas, I was wondering — How do you feel about the "War on Terror?"  Do you feel the US is right for pursuing this?  If you have lost someone close to you, do you feel they died fighting for the right cause?

I have not lost anyone close (fortunately), I don't disagree with removing Sadaam Hussein, and I don't feel bad about retaliating against the Taliban, but I do wish we would have had a better plan of action that would have produced better results.  I am not a military authority so I don't know if one was available but I am not pleased with our losses.  I would have more respect for President Bush if he were just able to admit that he has gotten us into a situation that he does know how to get us out of.  Do we continue to lose our soldiers lives or do we embolden our enemies by pulling out and essentially admitting defeat?

I wouldn't recommend threads like this Scott, the "administrator" is so far on one side that any discussion in this area would be fruitless and is inviting a heated debated.  No offense but I'd prefer if politics, religion, and any hard hitting issues kind of keep away from this side of the internet.  We may be civil folks here but someone will usually get heated during these discussions.

I would share my view but then I'd be discussing it, which I really don't want to get into.

You are probably correct.  Consider it locked.
