Hi All,
I recognized in myself a while ago that the degree of fitness a lady posesses that I am attracted to seems to fluctuate a fair amount. I have also noticed that when I am physically feeling weak (like when sick or extremely hungry) I tend to go for stronger looking ladies. So it got me thinking if Freud was on to something with the whole food=love observation he made. I guess I'm thinking hungrier = looking for "more" love.
Has anyone else noticed this sort of pattern in who they're attracted to?
Would anyone care to chime in on the food=love side of things?Bo.

However, the frequency of the switch from one to the other changes, and I haven't detected any pattern to do with illness or hunger. I have noticed, though, that I tend to favour the bigger FBBers when my self-confidence is lower.

For instance, huge muscles and body is great when it's on someone like Gina Davis or Heather Armbrust, where they still have feminine curves and breasts despite having massive muscles.
But when it's on the more masculine looking female bodybuilders, then suddenly it becomes quite a significant turn off and the mass quickly looses its appeal.
So for me it's more of a matter of how feminine the woman looks will still having large muscles, but if there's one thing I know does NOT fluctuate is that figure is my favorite and preferred body type. Not too big, not too small, just right.

I'm the same as far as turn-offs go. I was run-out of the UnrealMuscle forum for stating so.

You know, now that you mention it, I think the self confidence part of what you said is true too. I do have an issue with anxiety, and that tends to worsen when hungry or sick. Maybe it's part of the same phenomenon.
June 13, 2008 at 6:04 am #71732Robert McNayParticipantWith me, it all depends on the "whole package". No, I don't like it when they lose their femininity (i.e. Colette Guimond) but they can still be big and attractive (i.e. Tina Lockwood).
I also tend to find female bodybuilders more attractive in their non-contest shape. When they pare down, I don't like how their faces hollow out and you start to see the tendons in their cheeks and jaws. Colette Nelson is a good example of this. Off contest, she has a beautiful face and astounding eyes. Contest weight, her eyes seem to sink and look like the eyes of a skeleton head and you can see every detail of anatomy under the skin. Defined tendons in a cheek are just not attractive.
It also tends to take away the natural hourglass shape of a woman's body.
June 13, 2008 at 3:27 pm #71733AlexGKeymasterI think a range of attraction (athletic/fitness to full-grown FBBing) is probably the case with most of us. However, only so long as they also retain their femininity are they of any interest to me. 8)

That's surprising to hear. I'd figure that muscle=masculine was a basic supposition due to historical precedent. It's completely unsurprising to me that a vast majority of the populace considers FBBs as generally masculine. It's a small minority that can look at muscle on a female (especially significant muscularity) and not see masculinity.
That being said, we're all within that small minority. Everyone here can look at a woman with muscle and see all woman. Similar to what others have stated, for me, there is no time variation as to what I find attractive. And my attraction to FBBs tails off only when a woman begins taking on non-muscular masculine traits (deep voice, enlarged clitoris, square jaw & facial hair, etc.).

Exactly. We see past the old, outdated and inaccurate equation.

Same here. I have no absolute upper limit on size, just on virilised traits.
