I love those Georgia Gym Dogs! It's a pity though that Katie Heenan graduated that year.
I wonder if they ever considered incorporating yoga into their fitnss programs. It looks like its helped athletes like Kupets.

(seriously, who can hold a handstand the longest?) I bet the football players would win if they included events like "run through a solid brick wall" or "tear someone's limbs off" 🙂
Anything body weight orriented is going to be in the gymnasts favor. The smaller you are the easier it is to be pound for pound stronger.

Just wanted to say that while I always enjoy reading about instances where attractive women beat large men in physical contests, I have to agree that this contest was severely stacked in favor of the gymnasts. The outcome should not have surprised anyone. In any contest where they're being compared pound for pound, gymnasts are going to trounce any other athlete. By that same token, in any contest where raw strength with weights (not based on bodyweight) are concerned, the football players should win. It's not even a contest, it's simply a matter of paper vs. rock vs. scissors.

Of course they are better in events, which are very close to their sport. But nevertheless they both are amasing athlets both. Especially gymnasts have really good upperbody strengrh, but their legs seem to fall behind, if you judge them like you would look at for example bodybuilders. But they train for their own sport, and they don't have to think that way.

Football players are a zillion times better athletes as it applies to men. You grow to 5-10 and you gymnastics career is over. Most of tyhe girls aren't even more than 5 feet.
Sort arms and a low bodyweight makes comparasions like this kind of dumb. I'm not trying to kill the thread, but who wins a battle between bart Conner and any NFL player who isn't a kicker?
;DA women's NFL….now you are talking. The WNFL. ;D

Would really love to see that. Women are in boxing, wrestling and in others masculine sports – which is good – so why not. It seems that they are already playing rugby at some level, but I don't know much about these, because those are not popular around here.
