He was pretty cool about it. I figured he would tell me the usual priest stuff, like don't masturbate, etc. Instead, he told me that this fetish was what made me unique and different from my peers. He told me it was my gift, and if I need to masturbate, to do it.
March 13, 2009 at 9:29 pm #81210JackParticipantWow! The Catholic church has changed a lot since when I was a child… 😉
That's an interesting perspective of him to take. I wonder if he's a secret femuscle follower himself or has some other kind of hidden fetish that gave him some empathy with you?
(by the way, I hope you're not Blindy505 because of all the masturbation – Priest's orders or not!)

Depends on the Priest.
Some will accept there are a LOT of stupid rules that were only important when the book was first penned (don't masturbate, homosexuality is a sin, etc.? All because reproduction was important.) and some will cling to old rules to justify a prejudice. And he's right. Your fetish is unique, why be embarrassed about it? I mean sure it's one thing to feel a bit iffy just blurting out "Damn check out her biceps" when your friend is checking out a girls butt. But just like I don't want my friends and family finding my regular porn. It's not a shame thing. It's just weird.

I'd just like to add that being unique doesn't require a fetish or any other exceptional or even mundane qualities. To be sure, we all have many things in common but no one else sees the world through your eyes.

I think it's unique in the fact our fascinations really define who we are and how we live. It's embarrassing in the fact it's hard to relate to "outsiders" and can easily be taken out of context, but like everyone else here it's just something we're naturally drawn to.
March 14, 2009 at 7:15 am #81214the fell batParticipant😮 I am honestly astonished at this priest.
But anyways, there is nothing in the Bible about masturbation whatsoever. The sin of Onan was not masturbation. He was not doing anything like that. His sin was in failing to impregnate his erstwhile sister-in-law after being specifically instructed to.
There is nothing in the Bible about masturbation.

There's a lot of stuff not in the Bible that people will claim is.

But there are proscriptions against homosexuality, and our love for muscular women (who all look like men or are trying to be men, donchaknow) clearly makes us gay gay gay.

Interesting comment Seldom. Wrong, by the way. You see, what makes you gay is having sex with someone from the same sex as you. Having sex with the opposite sex, no matter what your prefrence; thin, fat, athletic, muscular…etc, does not in any way what so ever make you gay.
I was worried of admitting my preference for athletic and buff girls in high-school because of the fear of being thought of as gay, but once in college, i began dating girls who ran track, worked out, etc. To my surprise, my friends and family were always impressed with the girls i dated (minus the bitch that broke my heart and never returned the ring!) any way, turns out, the public totally understands this fetish and it is not in any way considered gay.
Now if you, for some reason like dudes…you're gay.
March 16, 2009 at 12:17 am #81218TC2ParticipantNot all women look like men. Cindy Phillips, Gina Davis, Heather Armbrust, Jodi Miller, Britt Miller, Lindsay Mullinazzi.
None of those women would -ever- be considered men. It's very narrow minded to think that only men should have muscles, but if that were true how would women even be able to move? They cannot move on fat alone.
There are SOME bodybuilders who look like men, like Renee Tonee or Maria Calo, but those are ones who just care about getting more and more size. You still wouldn't be gay being with them as they are considered women.
It's when you're thinking about male bodybuilders or males, and you're thinking about being with a male that makes you gay. If you're constantly fantasizing about dudes instead of muscular women, then you are gay. But if you're thinking about really big muscular WOMEN who have thighs, breasts, and lacks a male organ down below. Then you are very NOT gay.
