I had no idea where to post this, so I posted here.

But I am an IMDB whore, and very often check out this film biz website for movie news, etc.

And stumbled across a story concerning this Actress from the CW's Show Gossip Girl.  Her name is Blake Lively and she is tall(5'10), and hot in my opinion.  And since actresses have usually downplayed their heights in order to get work opposite shorter men,, and other cast members.  Their is a great chance she is actually taller(She looks taller than 5'10 in her pics).

Here is the link to the news story that indicates she is not too happy with her stature.  It is upsetting to hear so upset about her being tall.

Here is a link to her profile where you can get an idea of the projects she has been in, and check out some photos.

    She should embrace her stature.
Anybody out there have any opinion on this.  Or know any gals that are tall or super-tall that just hate it?

Just in case the links don't work…
Here is a Copy and Paste of the actual article.

    Lively's Fears Over Her Height

Gossip Girl star Blake Lively is self-conscious about her height – and fears men find her towering stature intimidating.

The 21-year-old actress stands five foot ten inches (1.78 meters) tall and is made to wear high heels while she films the glamorous teen drama.

And Lively admits her lofty stature has always made her feel unattractive.

She tells Allure magazine, "I feel like a tranny (transvestite) a lot of the time. I'm large, they put me in six-inch heels, and I tower over every man – I've got this long hair and lots of clothes and make-up on.

"I just feel really big a lot of the time, and I'm surrounded by a lot of tiny people. I feel like a man sometimes."

Some women don't like beiing big or just tall.

My friend is about that height and plays volleyball and has sometimes mentioned that she doesn't her like broad shoulders and beiing around small men and women because she feels like not fitting into group. She's not bb size and I have many times to her why not to be proud of large frame but she hasn't responsed well to that.

Maybe that has something to do with self-esteem, bad experiences from the past or something like that. And young people sometimes hard time when they stand up from the crowdn reason or another.

Basic female psychology, Heinlein brought it up once in passing in one of his stories.

She might be tall, but wants a man taller then her.  However, the supply of tall men is limited, and the short girls pouch on them, too.

I like tall, but height isn't an end all. I'm 6-4, soI don't like super short, but height is not a huge issue. It is just how a person hits you, especially once youget tad older and wiser.Keep an open mind.

Mimi…stop messing up. 😉 Don't make me have to come out for a face to face young lady.
