On the news tonight, while doing laundry I heard the most remarkably asinine story that I have heard in a long time, and I mean that literally.
The report was why you should not update your Facebook and or Tweet your exact movements for guess what ‘could’ happen?!
The answer…. YOU’LL GET ROBBED!!
I was like “DUH!?”
And they interviewed two people who had this happen to them, the woman was smart enough to have an automated camera set up to record stuff. the male was not
what was really dumb was the woman admittedly didn’t think ‘her postings’ would result in robbery, but it turned out one of her so called ‘FB friendings” were the accomplice of the crime.
The males response was the “OMG you Dumbazz” moment I have ever heard.
“I didn’t realize the ramifications of posting my everyday life moments would have.”
RAMIFICATIONS? RAMIF-KING-ATIONS??!!!
You mean to tell me that you didn’t think that some one out there in the great wide Cyber net would come to your house while you were away knowing no one was home to break into your place and STEAL YOUR POSSESSIONS!? Its appalling and sad that people my age or older have fallen prey to the discarding common sense syndrome..

So let that be a cautionary tale that reboots some people’s common sense application about what NOT to do with Twitter and Facebooking and other public forums…
Sammi out!
