Came across this @ RX Muscle Forums, posted by Femphysiquefan / Jeremy
Saw this on another board: HBO’S Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel will be featuring women’s bodybuilding on an upcoming episode July 14th at 9 P.M. EST!!!

IFBB pro bodybuilder Colette Nelson is scheduled to be a guest on the episode:
A few days later we were carrying load after load of gear down three flights of stairs to a dark, hot gym in downtown Manhattan, setting up for an HBO Sports interview with professional female bodybuilder Colette Nelson http://www.colettenelson.com/ Despite the difficult location and uncomfortable temperature, and some VERY personal questions by Bryant Gumbel, we rolled for almost two hours on an interview that was among the most fascinating and humorous exchanges that I can recall. Colette was gracious and honest in her answers, and I went away impressed not just by her candor, but with the psychic strength she shows in living a lifestyle misunderstood by many, and reviled by some. Just another example of scratching the surface to see the treasure hidden behind the public facade.

I heard about this from Colette when she was at Jr. Nats. There was a roving cameraman from HBO Real Sports that got footage of the two of us as well as several other FBBs at that show, both in the expo hallway and apparently where Colette was spray tanning. It will be interesting to see what their take is on women’s bodybuilding, since Real Sports is also (as far as I know) the ONLY news show that actually had the guts to present the OTHER side of the steroids debate:

July 4, 2010 at 6:58 pm #93703ant1937ParticipantThe bottom line is they aren’t acceptable in any sport where there is money on the line and it gives you an edge. It is cheating. As far as bbing…fire away because there isn’t any real money being competed for.It is part of the sport.
I’m glad baseball has cleaned it up most of the way. Homers are way down and it is back to more or less what it always was.
as far the health angle….it is rarely safe in the long haul. Lets see romano shooting up at 70.

July 5, 2010 at 12:18 am #93710ant1937ParticipantI’ll be curious how Colette defends it from the women end of the spectrum. Romano said he was shooting male hormones into a male body and the piece said it wasn’t for kids, women,or people that did not know what they were doing. Putting male hormones into a female body and taking the other angle will be kind of interesting to see. Colette looked great when she was big and still doesn’t look bad for 36. She’s definitely smaller than she used to be. The video does not lie.
She’s well spoken and comfortable on camera, so I’ll be curious what she has to say. She’s had a long time relationship with Mike Palumbo who did time for dealing drugs and other pe’s. I’m not sure if they are married, but she obviously got some stuff from him over the years….plus perhaps advice on how to use. She’s not over the top on any side effects one can detect on camera. You can’t say that about alot of fbbs.

At a guess, I suspect that some of it will probably end up on YouTube.

Nice! but, is it me, or her face looks a bit different? I don’t know but somehow her face looks different to me.
July 6, 2010 at 6:50 pm #93749BlackKusanagiParticipantShe looks slimmed down. Nice look for her though.

Well, she is getting older, and appears to be on the lean, low-bodyfat side. Could be the make-up in combination w/ the lighting used by the photog. Also, you can’t eliminate the possibly of the subtle side effects from using physique-enhancement drugs. Lastly, I’m not aware of any facial work that she might have had done, tho that could be a factor.
