It might be a little blurry, given that it was snatched on the run at the London Toy Fair, but this is the first good look at what Cartoon Network has in mind for Lion-O and the refugees from Thundera.

If you’ll recall, this new Thundercats series is set to premiere on Cartoon Network sometime later this year, but it’s clear that the merchandising gravy train is pulling out of the station: An enterprising photographer grabbed this shot from the London Toy Fair, where the press and, more importantly, retail-store buyers, got their first look at what’ll hit shelves and screens in a few months.

    Thundercats HO!

    Nuff said. B)

You’ve done remarkably well, SIR Flakbait. (Fist and forearm to chest in salute)

I now return to the story I was working upon @ DA . . .

“I like a good story well told. That is the reason I am sometimes forced to tell them myself.”
    ~ Mark Twain / Samuel Clemens (1907)

Wow, Cheetara just looks ridiculous! Why they would go from a a body of an athlete to the body of an anorexic runway model with cheap implants is beyond me! It just doesn’t make sense from the point of view of her having super speed or being a mighty female warrior. I don’t know why they used such a retro style either. In a way it looks older than the 80s version!

    Lion-O: +
    Tygra: can’t tell
Panthro: mild + (like the sideburns)
    Cheetara: big –

My vision of Cheetara is not a character with bodybuilder’s
physique, but more of a sprinter’s physique. That is to say,
her upper body is reasonably muscular, like a lightweight
bodybuilder, while her lower body is thickly muscled — built
    for explosive sprints.

Here’s a better image I found at this website: http://www.nickandmore.com/media/thundercats/thundercats-full.jpg

They don’t look THAT bad to me, personally.

“The uploader has not made this video available in your country.”

    For a preview? Really?

Note sure if this is the exact same clip, but at least this one seems to work outside of the US.

Looks, for lack of a better word, epic! Also, Cheetara looks a bit more buff when she’s in action, compared to some of the promo art. I can live with that sort of compromise.
