ParticipantI wrote Vampirella stories in the early '70s; my first story was in #5; I wrote the series in #s 17-21. I was interviewed on the internationally syndicated X-Zone radio show on January 3, 2006. You can still listen (for 30 days) by going to the shows archives and scrolling to this year's first show…

There's also a full biography on me in FOLLOWING CEREBUS #6, just released, and available at comic shops and Tower Records outlets internationally…see URL at…

ParticipantYour name does sound familiar, although I have to confess I'm not familiar with your work. (A situation I guess I'll have to correct… 😀 )
In any event, welcome to the forum!

Thanks, dc! Here's one of my old comics, THE BLACK MISTRESS, from TARA ON THE DARK CONTINENT#2, copyright 1979 by Paragon Publications:

If you click on the lower right hand corner of each image, it gets bigger and easier to read.

ParticipantTHAT'S where I remember your name from… you used to do stories for Bill Black!
I worked with him a little bit back when he first launched Americomics (now AC Comics); my wife and I did color separations, and I drew a 4-page "Tara on Jungle Island" for Americomics #2. The gory details are here.
That black-and-white Paragon stuff brings back some memories…

ParticipantThanks for the look at your writing with art attached to it. I enjoy the pulp feel.
While the Black Mistress doesn't seem like a psycho weilding dynamite she'd certainly be able to hold her own amoungst the Spider and the Shadow.
Thanks for peeking in here and saying hello.
Welcome!
We've got a story section if you ever feel the need to fire up the word processor. 😉

ParticipantI see I wasn't the only one shot down by AC because I put muscle tone on women. Still, they did use a pin-up I submitted for their swimsuit issue contest as the cover to Femforce #83 so, better than nothing.

Don't take it too hard. Black's comics are held in great esteem, but he's far from being the best liked guy in comics. Hey gang, the X-Zone interview with me, T. Casey Brennan, is still archived…scroll down to the January 3, 2006 show and click on PLAY NOW, at…
