When I was just starting to get familiar with the internet, I stumbeled upon this forum while surfing around looking for anything regarding my favorite hobby – big, strong, muscular women. I like 'em at the impossible level. Hence, my affinity for morphs. Before I knew anything about how forums work, I was downloading from the muscle art stuff with the giddy enthusiasim of a kid given carte blanche in a candy store. I posted a comment on a thread started by jdm. At the time I didn't even know it was called a "thread."  In my inexperience, I failed to notice it was several years old. Of course, I realize now what I did. Kissthemaniac called me out for being a thread necromancer and rightly so. At the time I had to google "thread necromancer" just to know what that meant.
Now with my experience I realized that this unnatural act of sorcery is an abomination before God and man. I can envision many good folks here seeing the thread and thinking, "Cool! New morphs from JDM!" only to be dissapointed. I don't blame anyone for going to the end of the thread looking for the a-hole who needs to be chastized. Well this reformed a-hole is here to apologise as a more experienced and now upstanding member of the community. Love the site and all the good folks here. Peace, out.

All kidding aside, I've never understood why adding a comment to a long-inactive thread is so evil.  "But – *splutter* – but – it's just not done!" is all the "explanation" I ever get.  (Like wearing white shoes after Labor Day.)

General rule of thumb on the Internet is "You're not as witty, smart, and funny as you believe you are."

The REAL reason I see is that, if there's THAT much urge to talk about it, there wouldn't be a dead thread, now would there? And you can just start a new one and we'll all jump into that one.

Current users may have said all they want to say on a topic, but what about new users? Often artists on here have a single thread where they post links or thumbnails to their latest work. Do you guys really want new users to start a new thread every time they want to say "Cool art, man!" or should they should be expected to refrain from commenting at all because their late to the party? Don't get me wrong, I think not reviving old threads is a useful guideline to have, but I just don't think it should be a hard rule that is arbitrarily enforced, especially on a small forum like this.
