It received (not surprisingly) a mixed reaction over the She-Hulk forum . . . 😎

May 27, 2006 at 11:39 pm #3025400treeParticipantyeah It did. A lot of she hulk members think muscle is ugly on women and that's fine that's their opion. I however have a hard time accepting a pic of the great green one with out muscles. Her name is She Hulk not She some what hulk-like puny moddle thin waif female thingy. 😀 She needs to have muscle. I know that she got her powers from a transfusion and not direct contact but the Hulk is inhumanly huge and muscled so I figure She Hulk would look like a strong heavyweight female bodybuilder. And how can you like she hulk but still want your women to look like wheat to be blow over by the wind (fasion modles)
May 28, 2006 at 1:40 am #30255mistake7890Participanti am always a fan of more shehulks but in my opinion this representation is not very attractive. i agree that she hulk definitately needs to have muscles though, i think the best version was her first two appearances on the 1996 hulk cartoon when she was still buff. Also she didnt have that annoying voice actress doing her voice yet. 🙂
May 28, 2006 at 3:00 am #30256btxParticipantI think the mixed reaction is due to the "mangaish" nature of the art rather than the muscle. Manga/Anime style isn't for everyone. (Me too some of the time).

You're quite right. I've had (and heard expressed in private from others I that I greatly respect) similar opinions about Jen vs her cousin Bruce and the fact that she should possess a potent-looking femuscular physique given the hyper-neo-Neanderthal form of his own gigantic body.
yeah It did. A lot of she hulk members think muscle is ugly on women and that's fine that's their opion.
Believe me, I know and know all too well about the clique of nasty-noisy-negativist patrons that frequent that particular forum. Even our good and noble Lingster has commented in the past about one of the moderators and his lack of proper discretionary judgement when certain topics about Jen are raised.
In my own case, I rarely make my presence known over there – having my share of run-ins (or if you will, being run-over) by the anti-femuscular She-Hulk elements.
Again, they should remember the axiom that reality is things as they are, not as they might wish them to be. Thus women of august super-strength should be portrayed as femuscular in form, for to deny it is to deny only what is logical.
(Or replace logical, if you will, with plausibly believable.)
As to the degree of their femuscularity, I leave that to the eye of the beholder . . . and the artist/writer creator presenting them.
Nuff said.

Any fool should be able to see that, no matter their personal tastes on the notion of muscular females.
Those creatures upon the talked about Forum do not know what they are missing.
Peace
