But, that doesn’t make any sense! Bobsledding isn’t even that fun to watch! It’s like fucking Nascar if cars required at least five people to drive and is economical. May even be, quite possibly, the least extreme sport since the invention of crawfish fighting. Hell, figure skating is more interesting to watch!

… my god… have I been lied to this whole time? Is Bobsledding so extreme that it actually does require athletes to actually be *gasp* athletic?

I don’t know if you’ve seen this but there was a guy sledding down one of the courses during a practice run, that went flying so hard he died instantly. The sport is VERY extreme in how fast these people go to beat times.

I guess the sled must be heavier than it looks, which would require muscle to push.

Also, love that GIF but it’s way better when slowed down.
