I'm visiting family in Switzerland right now and just tonight saw what I think was a re-run of the Glasgow Gymnastics Grand Prix, 18-19 October 2008, which featured Acrobatic Gymnastics.  What caught my discerning eye was the women's trio from Russia, specifically Russia 1.  Three very different sized women, one normal gymnast size, one quite small, and the third was more than a head taller than either and totally built.  They were the only group that featured the two smaller women being supported multiple times by only the third, very well built and strong woman.  One move she was holding both women over her head, balanced precariously, with only her arms.  I'd guess she was holding close to two hundred pounds, balanced, over her head.  Quite a feat I thought.

All I could dig up was this results link.  Can anyone find any more about the three gymnasts and which of the three on the Russia 1 team which won is the tall and built gymnast??  It'd be much appreciated because it was definitely quite the feat of strength that won them the competition…

Well, I googled one of the names and have a youtube video link.

You can probably search around the site for different videos of the Russians.

Although I didn't see anything that distinguished one from the other.

Could it have been the silver medalists instead?–clear height differential there, e.g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLaxJY3nXqg .  (The tall one is one of the Ekaterinas, but I can't find which.)

That might be them, but the routine I saw featured more lifts of both the smaller women by the biggest of the women than they had in their routine…

They're the trio of women at 40-46 seconds in this video:

Man I could enjoy watching that on TV or in person.
