Im basically at the point that whats the point in watching. Iris keeps winning. *sigh*

Alina looked GREAT.

Apparently Iris Kyle was sick for two months during her training period up to the Ms International. And that is why she didnt bring her usual flawless physique to the show. And yet she STILL managed to prevail and take her sixth title — kind of sad really. Are all her competitors that lousy that cant take advantage of her compromised position? Yaxeni and Alina didnt look bad, but they still didnt impress me much. And the rest of the field (including, sadly, highly touted newcomer Sarah Hayes) looked pretty weak.

So far what’s been posted is from the contest – prejudging, and show.

I’m still waiting for any impromptu pics from the trade show to materialize.

Personally, I gave up a long time ago on the judging/placement portion of the program. There’s no understanding it, far too subjective – what’s in favor one yr is verboten the next.

Hey Reason,

I think it’s the camera angle playing tricks on your eyes. I’m quite sure if you put her side by side against women or other bodybuilders her “hugeness” would be very present.

For the record, after looking at Alina’s contest pics and comparing them with how she looked last year, I stand by my observation that she looks slightly less muscular.

However, I still thinks she looks great. She does appear to have a smaller waist and more definition, which is what the judges tend to look for, so good on her for improving her already outstanding physique and congratulations on her third place! Finishing only behind the big 2 in just her second Pro show is pretty darn impressive!

I’m really wondering what’s going to happen next year with the new Women’s Physique division and whether there is a place in it for a physique like Alina’s.

Looks like Alina did regress a little from last year. The only competitor who really impressed me at the show was Yaxeni.
