Fett, I think the majority of that was directed at me, or rather my post of a phony line-up of the some ladies done so far.
SyberStyk, I'm sorry to read the last sentence of your last statement. I'm resisting going into the typical "you need to relax bit", because that usually devolves into some "logical male" versus "emotional female" screed (my mentioning it may be enough for some to glom on to the statement divisively). It's not my intention to chastise you in anyway, but give me (and yourself) a break.
My tiny post I uploaded wasn't meant to infer that you don't know what you're doing. Nor is it my contribution. I'm sorry you took it either way. It is not intended as reference or direction for you. It's more of a gentle reminder to forthcoming contributors to include their character's height stats (if s/he doesn't, his/her character will get "short-changed"!) and, maybe to put some thought into what they design their characters doing. I did not invent a cry for help from you to answer. If you honestly think that's what I've done, you've misinterpreted my words and actions to the Nth degree.
Did you read my post? Because even with something there to grab your attention–you still don't answer my legitimate question therein! This project may be a one-off of indeterminate purpose, but I am trying to make my contribution as cool as possible. I wouldn't be here if I didn't think it was something unique and fun.
If there's anything I think I've misunderstood, it's your level of input as the originator of the project. I'm understanding now that you're not interested in giving feedback or much in the way of suggestions. That's fine. But in future, it may serve you to realize that when you step up to initiate something, that makes you the leader–the person people look to for answers, however minute. Being the leader, despite what some of our politicos and neighbors may think, does not mean, "I tell you what you do, and you do it. See you next season!" I have experienced this time and time again doing on-line projects–somebody is quick to start something, but not so quick to accept their responsibilities as the administrative body, even when s/he is non-confrontationally questioned. Your last post belies your previously cavalier attitude about doing the thing.
Yes, this project is your idea, but frankly, if Amaz0ns is not a venue for everyone (who the administrator allows to stay on) to share their ideas–what is the realpoint? (And to anyone else who may feel infringed upon for having their images manipulated by anyone within the context of this most public-oriented of topics might need to think about learning to get along with others better. Or perhaps go back to primary school and take better notes on Sharing and Cooperation.)
Fans of heroic, capable women should aspire to think better of one another.
Finally, Syber, I hope you haven't truly lost your enthusiasm about the whole thing, but that's sure to happen if you take your idea (and the creativity it inspires) too seriously.
February 18, 2007 at 11:02 pm #46859LuParticipantFirst of all.. what?
Grandmaster, I was talking to CDR. I thought that was apparent because I wasn't talking about anything to do with you.
Props. Okay. Huge props don't make sense for a group picture. Why? Because it blocks other's contributions. I thought that was vaguely logical. BK's has a beachball, but that's not going to block out anything, see what I mean?
Also. I'm not offering critique because the idea was you do something that you do, because this was about a group image, not a post in the art forum. I don't see why I'm required to give feedback when the idea is drawing or rendering how you do it. The only things I'm suggesting on is things like the props, which would get in the way, or the white backgrounds.
Capiché?I would have thought when I said a pic of a girl on a white background, wearing an Amaz0ns logo if you so wished, shouldn't have turned out so complicated.
I said white background more than once, so, you tell me why people can't get that?
I don't want to be repeating myself over and over for the same thing, when I've already said it.
I also don't like having my methods questions as if I don't know what I'm doing.I don't understand why you guys have to make this overcomplicated, but it's pissing me off.
I'm sorry for that.
February 19, 2007 at 1:49 am #46860The Muffin manParticipantFeet, dude. Why are you telling Kulli to calm down? CDR essentially said 'Ok move over, you don't have a clue what to do.' It's like if I told Lingster to stop adminning because I can run this place better. That's insulting. She didn't ASK for help at the beginning. Which brings up my next point.
Grandmaster: Stop trying to artificially insert drama. It's pretty clear who she was talking to. You were just fanning the flames and you know it.

She created the project.
She did not ask for any help.
She asked for people who wanted to to post their pictures of their girls with some basic info and a WHITE BACKGROUND. She later said she'd rather no have gigantic props blocking out anyone. She was, of course, understanding in that she didn't ask for this originally, but still asked for it.Yes, this project is your idea, but frankly, if Amaz0ns is not a venue for everyone (who the administrator allows to stay on) to share their ideas–what is the realpoint? The real point is for Kulli to put the communities girls on a white background and showcase them together. She never asked for more than your characters.
This is not about Kulli not wanting someone to share their ideas. It's about Kulli being fully capable of being able to do this on her on and someone having the nerve to insinuate that he knows more. It's about Kulli asking someone to adhere to her major point of a white background and then later adding she also didn't want big, scene obstructing props(for god sake LOOK at K2. She's lying down. Don't you think that's to be fair to the OTHER artists?)
CDR apparently took this as an insult, and his attempt to "help" is, to me anyway, a clear attempt at making Kulli feel inferior. And then Grandmaster took this opportunity to take a cheap shot with that "Logical man emotional woman" crap, leading right into a huge post unloading unwarranted attacks on Kulli.
And yes this is biased. I LIKE Kulli. So I'm obviously on her side.
February 19, 2007 at 2:01 am #46861LuParticipantDon't bother Muffin dude. I don't want bullshit drama I just wanted to get this thing done.
If they have a huge problem with my methods or requirements then by all means, someone else can do it.
I didn't even want to add one of my characters because they're so out of place here.I also don't want anyone else to bitch about anything.
It's a fucking project, if you want to join in, then do so. if you don't then don't.
Stop the bitching. Just. Stop.If you want to bitch at someone at least take it to PMs.
February 19, 2007 at 4:38 am #46862CDRParticipantFebruary 19, 2007 at 4:52 am #46863LuParticipantYeah. Simple as, what I asked for. That's perfect.
Not sure how the yellow will pan out but we'll see when it comes to it.February 19, 2007 at 5:26 am #46864Hunter S CreekParticipantA sketch humbly submitted for the Community Pic.
Character Background:
Bartholomew had purchased this "Amaz0ns.com" T-shirt as a joke for his nerdy, short, painfully skinny, and completely shapeless little sister, Jane, for her birthday.
Ironically he soon became the example of what can happen when Nerds create growth formulas for themselves but then don't drink them immediately. Instead Bartholomew had left the formula unattended just long enough for his mischievous, nerdy, little sister to find it and quaff a good portion of it. Bartholomew discovered what happened just in time to watch his once very little sister grow, Grow, and GROW to become his very big sister as he vainly attempted to retrieve the unused portion from her.I hope that you enjoy it!
BTW — I could be wrong, but something about the look on her face makes me think that she's not going to share the rest of his formula with him.
Tschuss!
HunterFebruary 19, 2007 at 5:47 am #46865LuParticipantWhile it's nice and all Hunter, you want me leaving it B&W? I never said any had to be coloured so it can stay black and white, just wondering what others will think too. The little guy you have there.. well, as long as he doesn't block anyone out when I put this together he'll be okay.
(I'm also assuming since she has no feet, that's a prop to hide them in a cunning manner? :p)
I can fix things and work this into the pic but I would think others aswell would prefer it coloured too. I don't want to leave anyone out..
Also! Her height?Again.. if anyone doesn't understand why I ask heights.. it's because I want to make the girls proportional in the pic.. if she's meant to be 5'5'' she shouldn't be the same size as someone 6'5''.

Well, the thing is, SyberStyk, that everything is B&W to me because I am completely color-blind.
My apologies I forgot to list the heights — he is 5' 6" and she is 9'.
If the lack of color and the presence of the brother means that the sketch does not fit with the overall desires of the group, and the overall scheme for the Community Pic, then that is fine. I hope that everyone enjoys the sketch anyway! 🙂
Tschuss!

No. This is not what happened. CDR was curious and trying to help.
No. This is a thread about collaborating on a pic to be a 'mascot' of sorts of the Amaz0ns community, that Kulli has diligently decided she will do and spearhead. As it is a collaboration, one of the collaborators offered advice and help, because he was unaware how Kulli was doing it. He already complied with her rules, if you recall. It was a white background pic originally. When Kulli asked for something to be changed, he changed it, and then ALTERED THE BACKGROUND to HELP. The actual events that occurred don't match up to your recollection of them, or the depiction of CDR's personality.
No, he did not. You're being melodramatic and ridiculous.
And yes this is biased. I LIKE Kulli. So I'm obviously on her side.
At what point did I begin to HATE Kulli? When I told her not to get pissed off with a guy for offering help? I don't HATE Kulli. I never have. I like her. You go on about people fanning flames anti-Kulli, look at you. You just call people haters. At no point did anyone give the impression that they hate Kulli. I was going to leave this, but I can't have you imply that you're the lonely defender of Kulli's honour. Because no one attacked Kulli. That was the whole point of my original post.
There's been no attack, so there should be no reason for this attitude of taking sides, hostility and bitchiness.
There was a misunderstanding over the intent of a post. I tried to clear it up. That is all. Anything more than that is just nonsense.
