Gotta agree with Ashlee on this one, last thing this community needs is more people looking down on bodybuilders, you know what I mean? The strip rail roads you to think a certain way, where as if the FBB were beautiful like in the modification our friend shared, then at least the reader can be like, "Hey wait a sec… she's kind of attractive."
I also really don't mind the racist jokes and I'm hispanic, but there are some jokes that are in poor taste and those jokes will get people to be a bit more "serious" about it. I personally think the strip is tame but I can see where Ashlee is coming from.

Beauty isn't funny. Infact most positive things in comedy are not. Sad but true. We're barbarians.

I can't. Nut is right; getting constantly worked up that not everybody shares our point of view, is getting silly.
The entire world may never come to see them the way we do, but quite frankly, we should not even care about their vindication. I'm sure that hoping that the rest of the world accepts them, if the last thing a FBB cares about, instead they atleast know that some do, and most importantly, they're doing what they do for themselves.
That and, the artist wasn't going for changing someone's mind about a subject, they were just making a funny script. They don't care about any of that, and probably, neither does the bulk of the readers.

You're equating this strip with racism?!
Thank you for completely proving my point.
January 18, 2008 at 6:24 am #65252Muscle Growth NutParticipantThere's something I want to mention here.
Those who saw my posts about my character Miss Mass some months ago likely know about the comic I'm planning about her and her teammates. For over a year, I've planned for a trio of semi-recurring superpowered muscle women dedicated to spreading the whole "beauty of femuscle" thing.
The main problem? They're assholes. Their methods consist primarily of beating up people who disagree with them. And while none of them are mirror-shatteringly ugly, they won't be gracing any magazine covers, either. They are, admittedly, inspired by some of the more extremist attitudes I've witnessed during my years in the FMG community.
Does this make me guilty of the same so-called "crimes" leveled at this strip? Hmm?
