But back to the topic, it occured to me that this statuette is probably from some Sumerian/Akkadian fanboy's collection of his favorite Superheroine. 😉

and the girls were even more muscular.December 18, 2007 at 8:16 pm #64321Zespara AlatharParticipantWell, Pompeii has some very erotic drawings/paintings on the walls in several of the buildings. I personally saw several of them when I visited seven years ago. I didn't see any muscular women but our group only stayed two hours even though I could've stayed an entire day exploring that place. I did see one painting with a male figure using weights to lengthen his organ. :-X

Even to this day you have to ask special permission from the government to go in it and you get thrown out if you laugh at the outlandishly kinky imagination of ancient Rome.
(This is according to a TV program called QI)

Ah yes, dear old QI. Stephen did seem to relish that bit, didn't he?! ;D
As far as the Pompeii drawings and this Mesopotamian sculpture are concerned, it just proves yet again to me that it's entirely natural for men to find well-muscled, atletic women sexy. If you (like me) are supporters of natural selection, then it makes huge sense – the man wants his genes passed-on, so, in ancient times with a choice of two women to mother your child, assuming both were equally intelligent, wouldn't it seem natural to opt for a fit, strong woman with good muscles rather than a thin woman with no strength? On a more human, less mechanistic level; as I've said before – if women are "allowed" by society to admire and drool over fit, muscular guys, then why can't we admire and drool over buff women? To me it seems that those who find the V******* B******s of this world sexy are odder than us. ::) ;D
