I'm getting back to Anime Studio after some frustration with my attempts at using Blender for 3D animation.  Here is a short video.  This one character is part of a full set I planned out a few years back (it's taking me way too long to get them off the drawing board…):

In case something weird happens with my this particular video or my entire Youtube account (nothing  there surprises me anymore), you can find it on my Yahoo group in the files section.  Here's the direct link to the folder (you need a free group membership, of course):

I'm getting better / more used to vector art.  It makes bone assignment and z-ordering much easier.  The two scenes that make up this video didn't take that long (although the bar-to-hand interaction was tricky); I should have more as soon as I get all the characters drawn and rigged.  I already have a whole story of scenes in mind.

Wow, really great stuff! I've always thought that AnimeStudio had a lot of potential for this kind of thing, so it's great that you're going with it and using it to bring your ideas to life.

Here's a lip sync animation.  No body movements, but it shows how the rig is developing.  As you can see, I'm done adding a few more characters:

There's a version with sound in my Y! group's file section.  For the track, I just recorded Narrator reading the first few paragraphs of my "Muscle Adoption" story.

BTW, not everyone in this story's world is super buff, but this couple just happens to be from a port city and the guy works the docks loading heavy cargo.   The woman is a housewife, but was previously an athlete, mostly in track and field.  She still keeps in shape.

The clothing styles will also vary from city to city.  These are typical clothes for the hot, southern port city.
