ParticipantHi,
I’m new here, so forgive me if this is in the wrong section. I looked at the various topics, and felt this was probably the best section but if I’m wrong, I apologize.
I discovered that I love buff women about a year ago, and as such began hanging at gyms a lot more often. However, due to being at said gyms, I went from slightly obese to fit with some muscles (keyword: some, I’m not that noticeable in the upper body unless I flex). I was wondering if it smart to bodybuild, since I want to be buff and date a female bodybuilder eventually. Do female bodybuilders like buff guys?
Also, I guess I had some general questions about fbb’s. How buff can a fbb get? For me personally, I love huge muscles on women, so I hope they can get pretty buff (especially the arms and legs, probably my favourite muscles to look at on a fbb). Out of curiosity, how does one know how buff they can get naturally? I’ve heard stuff about measuring your wrist and bodytypes…I’m so confused about it all, lol. I mean, I think I could get pretty buff (I have small wrists but according to my trainer, I’m a mesomorph since I lose fat and gain muscle quickly, and he thinks I have the potential to be huge…here’s hoping, lol)…but I don’t know.
As a final question, is it smart for me to enter bodybuilding? I think in doing so it increases my chances of meeting fbbs. Has anyone else done this and succeeded?
Also, if anyone has suggestions on how I can be more involved in the femuscle community, please tell me 🙂
Sorry for the REALLY long post…

Participantmost females want a fit male,
the degree of muscle depends on the bodybuilder herself.
One woman I know only dates other bodybuilders
there is a different between a bodybuilder and fit Athletic male
I tend towards the Nerdy, fit male, I know Contradiction in terms ,but then so is Clark Kent.
It also Helps to share her other intrest or have a combine intrest(HINT!HINT)
Hope this helps
having Good paying job helps in a big waaaaaay
most women who have the time for bodybuilding have stable lifestyles and do not want to struggle.February 17, 2011 at 7:04 am #99047BodybyBane

have you told your trainer all of this?February 17, 2011 at 7:16 am #99049darkclaw91
ParticipantYeah, I’ve told my trainer all of this. I actually measured myself today, I seem to be progressing well. I hope I can compete in a year or so…preferably in a place packed with fbbs 🙂
Also, my trainer fully supports my love of buff women and he shares it…to a lesser degree, but it is still there in him. He is satisified with any type of fit woman, I personally want one who has thighs like Chun-Li and a upper body like She-Hulk. If I met a woman like that, I would do anything to date her. And my reaction would probably be like this: :woohoo:
I’m still not that buff, but I enjoy my progress. I mean in a year I went from somewhat obese to having 14 inch arms and 24 inch thighs. Also, for a while I had visible abs (currently I don’t sadly due to a recent hospital stay, I couldn’t work out for a while 🙁 ) But I’m still gaining muscle, so, umm, yay for me?

ParticipantMan I would kill to meet a FBB. :woohoo: Most of the FBB husbands I’ve seen are pretty ripped themselves so it’s a pretty good idea to be muscular if you are planning on dating/marrying a FBB. I’m planning on saving up some money for a gym membership. I’m also trying to build myself up with bodybuilder protein drinks. healthy eating, and stuff.

ParticipantCareful what you wish for, guys.
Your ‘goal’ should be to date someone you’re compatible with, not just someone you fantasize about. Fantasy is great, don’t get me wrong, but I think it’s a mistake to put yourself out there in that way (with respect to finding a mate).
Good luck.

Indeed. Most people have the perspective that female bodybuilders are roided out angry chicks while failing to realize that they are just like any women who do girly stuff. God bless those girls hard work and determination.
My only ‘goal’ is how I should tell my family that I am dating/marrying a female bodybuilder. The only person who knows I love fbbs is my father. It would be a bit awkward.

Yeah, but by now, I love fitness and bodybuilding too much. I would hope to be with a woman who shares my love of fitness, preferably weight lifting and/or bodybuilding. I’m pretty much addicted to natural bodybuilding and to a lesser but still prominent degree; martial arts, boxing and wrestling. So that’s why I think a fbb would be a good match for me…that and I find muscle on a woman sexy. So yeah.
I don’t know your family, but I feel your pain. I worry what my family would think too. Friends are always nice to talk to though when you worry about something like this, though. I remember talking to some of my friends about my love of the Street Fighter IV ladies…and although they like to tease me about having Chun-Li thighs (which I totally don’t have in my opinion…yet), they still have been supportive. So I suggest asking a close friend on advice how to proceed with telling your family. I would tell my family but probably when I actually date a FBB or when they ask and not before. Hope I helped 🙂
